Hey everybody! I have been looking around the forum to find a 1 watt 445nm (a bluish purple) COMPLETED laser and to sadly only find them sold out or it being $300...:(

I might as well buy the crappy Arctic III. But if anybody could post some links of someone who might have one, please do! I have been looking around for a while and couldn't find anything!!!

Either way, thank you guys very much.

You can try DTR, Eghemus, Yobresal, and many others.
I have done transactions with DTR and I can tell you he is extremely helpful and reasonable: even if you have lots of questions.
O-like has a new 1.2W 445 for a little more than what you said in your title.
You can also try DragonLasers.

Just look through the buy, sell, trade forum or laser pro shop forum.
ALSO, you will NEED to get safety glasses. I would recommend Radiant Electronics (cheapest and you can get a discount). MarioMaster runs that company. Another good place to get some is DragonLasers.

And here's a great survival laser package scarletwolf031 is selling that includes batteries and goggles:

Or you can the same survival laser right from Garoq:

The survival laser is a nice way to get into the hobby :)

I hate to rain on your parade, but don't you think it is a bad idea for a laser noob
to start out with a frickin 1W class IV laser?

Shouldn't sry9681 start out with something more tame, say, a couple of 5mW green,
violet and red and play with those for a while until he figures out the inherent dangers?

Just my 2 cents worth.

Make that 4 cents :D
But instead of 5mW green I would say probably around 30mW.

I would agree but at the same time with all the websites online now days they will sell to anyone with a credit card , i would say if the person is here and willing to learn and be safe with the lasers i would like to see people get there 1w here, so that they can be told the risk's and have a place to talk to people about there lasers.

if you tell a person, Sorry but a 1w laser is just not right for you because your new

the person will just goto o-like, rayfoss or many other places and buy a 1w without knowing the dangers or being told about using glass's and could get hurt.

so my 2 cents would be talk to the person and see what they know and if they seem to be able to take care of them selfs and are adults it's not my say what they can or can't have, but they can be told what can happen and then it's in there hands.

And everyone, since the school year started, im pretty much broke until I have a big break or until next summer. And until then, I will check the links and probably buy one in the summer.
PS- i will still be checking this forum post and respond to any questions.:thanks:
