Wanted:anyone got a laser they can sell for ~$55?

Hi Im looking for a laser that has got a beam suitable for stargazing (with observers) and also has more burning power than my DIY red (~100mW).

I was offered a red by jake21 but by the time we had a deal he sold it to someone else, so now I'm looking!

I don't mind assembling it myself but I want all components etc.

edit: dont mind wavelength but as I have WL 650nm goggles red is I suppose better.

If you're looking for beam, green is better. Even with 200mW of red the beam is only faint outdoors at night.
I would personally go for a Nova X-100 if I had the cash, It will be around 115mW and plenty visible. If you only want visible beam, then a DX True 30 is the go. (Or for $55, a True 50)
Sorry but I don't think you'll get anything really visible for $55 unless its a low end green.

I can easily see the beam of my pulsar125 outside if there is a bit of humidity in the air. The dx200mw red should be decently visible.

so should I wait for reviews on the DX 200? Id prefer red to green at this power... all I want is a beam as visible as a 5/10mw green....

If you want power then wait for the reviews on the 200mW red from DX, if they're good buy it.

yea i was going to sell him a laser, but he wanted one to point at stars and my laser is not that visible.

To me, a 200mW red is not bright enough for pointing out stars.

I would get the True 30 then. Personally the DX red 200 looks a bit shoddy.

But all i woant is a beam as vissible as a 5/10mW DX green.

It doesnt have to be super bright- just bright enough....

I had a report that jake 21s laser has a beam as visible as a 5mW green so I prob would have been ok with that...

Jake21 might but I do believe he doesn't have a green to compare it to.  I am making him 2 reds now, and I will say if I am outside at night you can only see a 200mW red when staring directly down it very unimpressive.  I have showed many people my 200+mW red and they say "It's gay now show me the green again."  Then I show them and "OMFG that's insane!!!" , Green can be seen while I stand at the end of the block and a friend points it into the sky from my house.  I'll admit I got a little stiffy the first time I saw my high power red beam, I was doing everything in my basement to make it more visible such as sweeping to get dust in the air or smoking weed a cigarette.  Then about 2 weeks later I got my DX200 and I nearly shit myself, it would be equivalent to like a 5watt red.  If you want to see the beam at all do not waste your time with red if you want awesome burning power then get a red.

know where I can get a cheap green with an IR filter?
