oh no, i understood, I just was trying not to have to go take a pic. That's what I get for being lazy lol :tinfoil: You're right i was thinking of the end that goes into the wall, the one on the laser is all bladed, house shaped, like so:

I'm planning on doing a 'tour' / 'teardown' of this laser too anyway. It needs cleaning in a few places badly, so I'll just document it as I go and share with everyone, for those who may not know how to work on these. I'm on vacation from work this week, so I'm hoping to get it done pretty fast.

Sweet! I'll get one off tomorrow
Wednesdays are my only "full" day ;)

I look forward to the teardown/clean up

Peace,
dave

Re: Price drops -- daguin - Labby's, and HeNe, and HeCd Oh My!

IMHO there are only two good ways to ship some of these..

One-- Extremely well & professionally packed OR Two: ship the heads and PSs in thier own boxes-last thing you want is a heavy PS banging around the head.

Local pick up is the best--hk

The 127 has its PSU permanently mounted inside the housing
Although, as I'm sure ultimatekaiser will attest, I package a laser pretty well ;)

I would NEVER ship a HeCd in the same box as its PSU!
In any event, I have the original packaging for the HeCd head
This includes a wooden shipping crate if the buyer wants to pay for freight :D

Oh yes he does. and he does ship the PS and head seperately. when I got my argon it consisted of several boxes. head, psu, and fan. it was miles of bubblewrap. and yes, the SP-127 is all self-contained. you just plug it in and go. all the components are in the main housing, including the power brick.

the 635nm C-6 300mW, is it single mode? if so, what diode?

The diode was part of a batch of diodes I got with a collection I purchased.
It is a closed can diode.
The output looks like the output of most of the 638nm diodes that have come out lately. It is a "bar" with "wings".

you have yourself a deal my friend :takeit: :paypal:

talk to you soon,
Carl

Thanks, Carl.
I'll get this into the mail tomorrow

Peace,
dave

Last here, I have a Rick Trent "3 Watt" laser
This laser has the 9mm 445nm diode and is powered by a Trent driver
This laser is powered by two @ 18650 batteries.
The laser has adapters in it for the 18650's.
If you pull them out, you can use 26650's for more reserve.
This has a massive copper heat sink for long runs
The laser is putting out 2.7W with the included 3-element glass lens
If you get a G-type lens, it does the "rated" 3W.
It is offered at $190, shipped in the US

Peace,
dave

Is this still available? Very interested.
