Just wanted to spread the word on what I just got from Techlasers :)

We are conducting a Grand Opening Promotion from September 1 to
September 8 offering 20% discount on all products for the first 20
buyers regardless of models. We invite you to join our promo and become
one of our first twenty satisfied clients to own a high quality laser
pointer at a cheaper cost. All products are subject to sales and
guarantee policies so there is no risk on your part to try.

Sounds like a nice deal!! :D :D Those blues will be one hell of a seller if this goes as they promise!!

Enjoy;

Agreed Merl... I asked them for a sample to test and they said that they are not worried about their image

Just figured I'd share the info I came across if anyone were interested is all :)

Ah, the old "raise your prices by 50% then offer a 20% off discount" trick. They must be working from the Sheisters Handbook from the 60's.

Yea,
I would think twice before sending them your money, even if they offered a 50% discount.

Much of the text of their website is stolen from LaserGlow.
For instance, copyscape shows their polices page was stolen from LaserGlow as shown in this link.
http://www.copyscape.com/view.php?o...m/index.php?main_page=companypolicies&w=96&c=

Other searches of the techlasers individual webpages shows that much of their text was stolen from LaserGlow.

Ask yourself, would you trust sending your money overseas to an entity that can't or won't even invest the time in creating their own documents and policies; just stealing them instead?

Jack: I was curious as to why phrases that I wrote in our policies keep showing up on their page. I can't believe how lazy they were, all they did was replace the word "Laserglow" with their own name.

Also, you'll notice that the statement about being an "official CNI distributor" has now been removed from their site. We had CNI contact them and ask them to remove it. So, that was just a lie. And they removed the links to Wicked, LC and laserpointer.com so they appear to be trying to cover up the link between themselves and Wicked.

Lies and coverups before the site is even "launched" does not bode well for this company. It will be hard for them to win anybody's trust after this. We all know how many sketchy companies are/have been involved in this industry, and I would rather pay a few extra bucks to deal with a company that I knew was honest and trustworthy.

Hi Justin,
I think you're mistaken about them removing the reference about being the "official CNI distributor".

I won't give them the courtesy of posting any links to their site, but just visit the main page, then click on the "about us" link at the bottom of the page.

Hey Jack,

Actually it looks to be gone now, try to refresh your browser to make sure you're not seeing cached content. At least THAT is taken care of, now we just need to determine why they are claiming to sell lasers with impossible specifications.

Thanks for the heads-up!

These prices are intriguing. I tried ordering from their website but i think their system is not yet working. So i emailed them to ask if I could buy a blue laser ($499) ;D. Let us wait and see .... (to be continued)
