I don't understand what the problem is with people and paypal. I have never had a problem with them. You cannot sell complete lasers. That is all.

If you pay as a gift the fees don't apply. They have rules even they must obey. There's no discrimination or special cases where they treat you like shit for no reason.

They ban buying and selling of any complete lasers or only non-FDA approved ones?

Yeah no complete lasers because of Ebay. Even FDA approved ones. I think

Certainly explains the general decline of laser stuff on ebay then. Probably only a matter of time until google decides to give online auctions a go though. heh

Rather Google than PP/eBay...

At least Google manages to provide services cheap/free to users, though at the cost of a bit of privacy. PayPal and eBay take a handsome proportion in fees, and offers little seller protection. Most of the stuff sold on eBay is rubbish anyway, of 2 laptop keyboards I've bought, both have not been as described, and both have been damaged and either not checked or actively lied-about (one clearly had a drink spilled on it!).

It was like that for paypal and ebay too but whenever something gets popular you always get idiots that do stupid stuff and then they have to enforce certain rules.

True, but idiots have nothing to do with ebay and paypal's fees. That's just plain greed at work there. Last batch of stuff I sold on ebay I ended up paying about 20% of what I took in in ebay/paypal fees. When I first opened my ebay account in 2002 I think it was, that rate was below 10%.
