>SOLD< Tank-007 Custom 1W Monster 445 F/S

Freshly built and only tested, 1W 445 in a Tank-007 host.
Comes with aluminum carry case, charger, glass lens, and
tri-pod.

This host was supposed to be for a 3W build, but unfortunately
the inside of the head is tapered. There is just no room for an
array and correction optics as originally planned. :banghead:

Laser can be run up to 5mins constant before needing a break.
The heatsink was machined as large as possible for this host,
matching the taper with a tight fit.

When the focus is set to parallel, the custom ring sits flush to
the face of the heatsink. There are no loose fitting parts...

Driver used is an AMC7135, the driver also has its own brass
heatsink which links into the body directly under the lower fins.

Will ship to Canada with express, and the USA via 4 day expedited

Theres a good 10+hrs in this one..

Im just disappointed with the taper in the head. There should
be 2 445 LD's in there :evil:

Perhaps the next round of hosts will be better suited.

Still waiting on drivers from DX, been near 2months and
still no boards :tired:

Well I ordered 2 sets x 20 boards of the 1400ma amc7135's, they shipped everything
else except the boards...

If you have the 1400mA versions handy, that is what im looking for.

oh man. That looks like a weapon that would be in the Alien saga. I want it so bad, but I just dropped $250 for a 1.6 watt 445nm from jayrob. And I need a job to support my new hobby, lasers. But MAN, that's a cool laser!

Thats what makes this site great as we have guys here building all sorts of lasers but you said it was going to be a 3 Watter hell i cant even imagine that and if it had a really good quality lens it would be awsome!!!!!!!!! nice build..

The thing is this chap has made his own host and it would have needed to to be this big if it had been a 3 watt job , but hey if he made this one he can make others on his lathe..its all good.

We dont buy bulldozers cause they are pretty, unless they come in pink...

Thats exactly it, the larger hosts that I looked at were very plain. Finding a host with
a decent width, and is not a common host, I went with the tank.

It's a bit excessive for a 1W, but the duty cycle will give any laser around
here a good run. Havent seen many true 1W+ lasers in a handheld that can run
5-6mins CW. So it has its pro's.

Im working on a bunch right now including 473nm 20-30mW. Just finishing
the design for the heatsinks, and perfecting my alignment techniques

Whats ugly to some is not to others, its better to have a variety to meet
the varying tastes IMO.

I see. Function over fashion is usually the smarter choice. :beer:
Now that you say it has a +5 minute duty cycle for a 1W, it makes sense, and I am thoroughly impressed. :drool:
