What Jerry wants charge for his meters is really nobody elses buisness.
Also, i agree, its the little things that make the difference, If anyone has seen my custom meter, it's labelled and in a custom enclosure. I like the look of the LaserBee A , apart from the adjustment know that looks like its of a 1980's Marshall amp :D but thats easily changed :) .

Re: Prototype 2W-2.5W LaserBee A For Sale....

As a matter of fact I have a bookkeeper come to the shop once
a month to put the papers in order. Then once a year I need to
hire a Chartered accountant to do the yearly Report.

The Shop we have now we built in 2000 it has heating/air conditioning
and lighting bills not to mention the mortgage.
The Shop is equipped with all the tools of the trade we need....

The LPM side of the business is just one part of the Industrial
Electronics R&D we do...

BTW to get a regular personal registration for a personal
company in Quebec only costs $35.00Cnd...
It is quite a bit more to get incorporated and other expenses as we
found out ~20 years ago....

You forgot , insurance, building maint, tool replacement, workers comp, most likely about 4 different taxes, the enormous amount of time it takes to run any business properly that you will NEVER be paid for, the lost revenue during r and d , Gas, auto insurance, property taxes, the fact that there are no under the table sales anymore, everything must be accounted for, i could go on for hours, if everyone was forced to be self employed for at least two years everything would change for the better, good luck.

Yeah.... those are some of other standard expenses that were
too long for me to list...

@ PED...
thanks for your kind words...

The production LaserBee A will have the Zero knob on the face
of the meter... The one on this Thread is a prototype..
The knob is only 0.625" in diameter to make it easy to fine
tune...
Some of us have Man Fingers....

Looks like a great project for a beginner Arduino programmer to poke around in. Well done, Jerry! :D

Got the LPM today - just wanted everybody to know what a great guy Jerry is. High quality product, outstanding response time and truly professional service. Safe packaging and fast shipping. LPM up and running counting those darn miliwats just like it should.

I know everybody likes pictures so here's a couple from this prototype LPM testing with various lasers:

SL 300mW 532nm

JL 1000mW 445nm

I highly recommend Jerry and his company to anyone looking for a good quality affordable LPM - but most of you already know that anyway ;-)

Thanks for your kind words...
Glad you like your prototype LaserBee A...
BTW.. the only difference between your prototype
and the production LaserBee As is the location of
the Zeroing control....
