I've come across a deal I'm trying to avoid passing up. What that means is I need to liquidate a couple of my prize toys. First up in my RPL-400 portable green laser. This has the adjustable power setting via dial on the back of the laser. The certificate that Jack sent with it has it running at 426mw. I literally just bought this laser a couple weeks ago. It is amazing, but again, I need to finance another laser that I have located. My loss is your gain. I purchased this with an 18 month warranty and I will send the original invoice to the buyer.

I'm new here so I don't mind a broker for serious buyers.

All told, I paid a little over $1600 for everything including the warranty. Included is everything that's included when you buy an Optotronics...charger, battery, certificates, etc. I'll take my loss and sell this thing for $1300. Please let me know if you're interested. You can PM me here or you can e-mail me at pcpros@gmail.com.  Great time to pick up a fabulous laser while you still can get them shipped!

Thanks,
Moon-raker

Yeah... damn, those things are popping up everywhere! I was keen on an RPL-400, but since I'm getting an RPL-300 for half what you're offering there, I think I'll stick with the latter :)

Good luck with your selling Moonraker :)

By the way, it is measuring 508mw after being on for about 3 minutes.

Re: Selling my green 426mw Optotronics RPL-400

Moonraker is on the up and up, it's also a terrific laser and I'm actually saddened that he's lost interest in it so soon.

But the main reason, I'm posting here and I don't want to be a stick in the mud, but this issue has been popping up alot lately, mostly from people sending me email messages asking about RPL lasers that they are thinking about buying and asking if the seller is for real. So far, yes everyone has been honest about what they are offering, but I've also informed those interested persons, that the warranty is non-transferable. It never has been and our policies page has always states this (well I know it has for about the last 2 years if not longer).

______________________________
Update: I stand corrected, I just checked our policy history and it was updated 1 year ago when the RPL standard warranty was changed from 6 to 12 months. At that time, the standard warranty was changed to non-transferable. The extended warranty was never transferable.
Policies can change over time. if any warranty/repair policies change after your purchase date, we will honor the warranty/repair terms that were in place at the time the order was placed.
------------------------------------------

I'm just really bummed that moonraker just bought his RPL a few weeks ago along with the extended warranty.
Anyway, to the buyer, the RPL is a very reliable piece of gear and moonraker broke it in even more for you.
It's a great performer and I'm sure the "peak" reading his laser check reported of +500 is accurate as it's easy for an RPL-400 to have peaks above 500mW at time. I also want to let any potential buyer know that these go through a rigorous burn-in and test process before being shipped to the customer and the failure/return rate is very low and there are hundreds of RPLs that are still going strong with no problems at all after 2 years of use.
I say two years as the RPL has been on the market for just over two years now.

You don't need to apologize, you're right there have been many scammers in the past and so we need to warn other people.

To whoever buys this - Make sure you use a middleman.

Re: Selling my green 426mw Optotronics RPL-400

Not to be a stick in the mud chido, but what more would one have to do to prove authenticity on a deal on this forum?  I've posted pictures that were time and dated, I've had the manufacturer vouche for me and the laser, and I've posted my e-mail and phone number.  Just because I haven't spent the last decade posting on this forum doesn't mean I'm trying to rip people off.  I've already said I knew I was new here and didn't mind using a middleman to do this deal.  As a seller, I should be equally concerned with Paypal chargebacks, fake money orders, bounced checks, and scammers just the same.

I'm an adult and would hope everyone looking to buy a 400mw+ greenie (or anything over a 5mw laser for that matter) is an adult also.  If you want to bring cash and come get this laser, you are welcome to do that.  I don't know how to make you believe this is any more real of a deal.  If you have suggestions, I'm open to them.

Again, I don't mind using a middle man to do this transaction for interested parties.  I don't know a single person here so I am putting quite a bit of faith in whomever I would mail my laser to.  If you read these posts, see the pictures, call me on the phone, e-mail me or contact me in the ways offered by this forum and STILL think this is a scam then don't buy this laser.  Instead, go buy a new one and spend an extra few hundred dollars on it.

Thanks,
Moon-raker

You most assuredly do not have to answer to cybob101

Oops, I was replying to chido. I meant it as an overall post. I'm just trying to sell a laser as an honest seller looking for an honest buyer. No more - no less.
