Hey folks, I did a run of HK-23's and have some package deals up for sale. This is a limited run and come
with the accessories to get you started.

Firstly, the laser.. They are in the Sipik HK-23 body, which is smaller than
its bigger brother the HK-21. The battery compartment has been opened up to
fit an 18350, rather than the stock 16340 cell.

The diode is an a-140 LD, in a 24K gold plated copper heatsink. Optics are
3 element glass, AR coated, focus fully adjustable.

The Focus 'knob' also doubles as an extended heatsink with fins. When the
knob is threaded all the way down, the beam is parallel, there is no 'play' in
this position, and very little slack when adjusting.

The output on all of them are over 1.5W in high mode, and around 300mW in low
mode with PWM.

The highest power units will go out to the first who buy..

Each laser comes with a set of goggles, battery, and charger. A 2 year warranty
is also included should there be any issues with performance. These are all tested
with verified outputs and are good to go.

Will be shipped with tracking within 24-48hrs of payment within North America.
Typical delivery time to the USA is 4-5 biz days via expedited.

Overseas buyers will have to cover the additional cost for a method with tracking.

Price is 299. CDN, shipping is included (20$) for expedited with tracking. Overseas buyers
will still have this 20$ credit to apply for the extra cost..

What you get:

-Laser
-Battery
-Charger
-Goggles
-Aluminum storage case
-2 year warranty

EDIT* Im eliminating the lower power 1.4W from this sale, so what remains
are 1.5W+ I know many of the members here are power hungry, hope this sweetens
the deal :eg:

Also, one member who received this laser has reported back that with a better battery
which is also a 3.6v lithium by AW and ophir sensor LPM is getting a 1.7W peak, and
hits 2W with a G1. For the size, these little guys pack a nice punch.

Now some pics...

I must say I'm enjoying mine quite a bit :D

Forgot to ask, what kind of module are you using?

To expand a little the 2W was a peak, and only lasted seconds.

When running on the 2.5W Laserbee USB, by the time the tec warms up it's down to ~1.8W. Considering the size of the laser though, it's phenomenal performance.

I had some copper modules set up, but made a mistake on the depth and
the option to use a G1 went with it. These use a standard aixiz, but with a
new paste ive been using to mount the LD, and the performance if far better
than the arctic silver ive been using for years..

Regarding the power.. Im selling these as 1.4W but they will arrive overspec :san:
I should have worded that part a bit better so I dont mislead anyone

I also forgot to mention I am working on a beam expander fitted to this specific model..
The option will be there in short time to purchase this add on for the HK-23's.

379 $ for one of these? Great lasers, but that is still a lot of money...

These aren't the typical c6/flashlight builds we see on here.

The power to size to duty cycle balance is the best I've seen so far. There are builds by other builders that are equal in craftsmanship, and surpass it in power. None of them are even close to this small though.

A lot of work went into them, and the quality shows. Two year warranty doesn't hurt either.

Re: F/S 1.4W 3 mode mini's W copper heatsink

Thanks for the positive comments guys..^^ I had thought about this a little and am
currently in a bit of a financial pinch.. With this im now offering these with the same
accessories for for 329. CDN Shipped.

I'm sure others are also tight in the wallet, and I want to get rid of them quickly to
recover some $$ spent.. For those interested, send a PM.

Nothing is changed in the sale other than price. This includes the same warranty etc.

Just adding a quick video which features one of the HK-23's for sale in this thread.
I will be making another thread in the experiment section on the nature of the video.. Enjoy :D

Nice builds. Does gold plated heatsinks help in any functional way? Or just aesthetic reasons?

Thanks, appreciate the feedback :san:

Well the main reason was to keep the copper nice and shiny.. Both brass and or copper tarnish far too quickly
even more so when oils from your fingers get on them. The plate was originally put there
to stop just that.

They would also probably cut down on electrical resistance, but the driver is grounded
straight to the body, so it makes no difference there.

Re: F/S 1.4W 3 Mode Mini's W Gold Plated Copper Heatsink Video Added

So my pants came close to catching on fire this morning.

Well, not quite, but we have accidental discharge  :p

It was on probably for ~6 minutes and when I noticed it was on pulsed... not high thankfully...

The laser was very warm, but far from what I would consider to be harmfully hot, so it survived just fine. Which says a bit about the quality of your work.

Can't say the same for my pants though  Have three burn holes, and everyone at the office thinks I'm crazy, what with coming into the office with my pants glowing blue :shhh:
