If a larger frame was used, like a beretta, I would go up on the bid quite a bit... it's a very cool laser host I like my guns to actually look like guns and the tip kind of kills it a bit

^^^If you're talking about a real gun... would be a waste... the recoil would kill the module

I would love to have a very real looking laser gun for halloween to complete my gangster outfit though. Something like this: Gun.

If the 635nm diodes pan out... that would make for a very cool laser, otherwise I think a 445nm would be easier to deal with. 405nm doesn't quite have the visibility I want in that kind of a package.

Attention to the thread is nice but I agree with Jake.

I agree with the tip thing but I was thinking it looks better than an aixiz focus knob. And as for a bigger frame... That was going to be my next project and you even stole my thoughts of a 635.

As for other frames I had in mind I like this one LINK

Does look better than the standard focus knob... but basically the reason I was thinking bigger gun (1911 or glock maybe?) is to hide the focus knob, and provide a bit more room for a larger heatsink.

As for 635nm... what can I say, great minds think... uhm... they think about this apparently
