This is a copper and aluminum laser host with brand new NUBM44 laser diode with three element lens SXD V3 driver. Choose from knurled or real carbon fiber grip. Batteries are included. Copper heat sink and focus knob allows for longer runs while staying cool. It's pretty heavy almost 3 pounds. I'm asking $450.00. I accept PayPal. Thanks.

That's a sweet build, rep you when it will let me again.

I must combine some diodes, my build may look like a pocket brick but it will work, lol, yours is gorgeous.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

I have it in a couple styles carbon fiber handle or a burley maple handle. It has a color changing led rite in front of the switch and a blue illuminated angle eye momentary switch. I have a few diodes to choose from. One is the NUGM01T 1.4 WATT green, the NUBM06 which is a 6+ watt diode. I will have an LPM later this week to verify its power output and I have a NUGM07E 465nm sky blue. I would take $400 .00 for it with any of those diodes except the green which Id do it fore $420.00

Yeah he made the host. I put the carbon fiber tube on it. It's a heavy host but soaks up a lot of heat before it even gets warm.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

I like those nubm06 diodes a lot, they look stronger than the nubm44.

I held mine up next to a good strong ndb7875 tonight because my neighbor had the place smoked up with their outdoor pit BBQ and the nubm06 just blows it away in brightness, it's way way way stronger, undeniably just right there in your face stronger.

Now it's clear skies and I tried it again, the ndb7875 looks good, then I turn on the nubm06 and hold them side by side and WOW, it makes my 3 watt 9mm seem puny, I mean really puny, I know its the difference making it look that way because it's a powerhouse laser and the difference is just night and day.

Nice. My 30 watt LPM will be here Saturday. I can't wait to see.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

This one you have for sale has a 3 element on it, I bet it is poping out some flames on the desltop with that lens, god it's a shame you don't have any more, I do want some when they get them in...you said they are popular and selling out?
If it has 44 power and a tighter line I can see why, with a 3 element I am wanting to see that, and a G7 would be nice too.

I want to test it but I just cant pull the Gball off mine, its too pretty and I'm going to mount the 6x pair on it, otherwise I would try one of these new G2 lens as well as a wide back G7.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

So these are the new hosts for the next batch of lasers I'm building. Another example of Ehgemus's skills on a lathe. Three will have a lighted volt meter showing battery capacity or could be set to show how much current is being drawn by the diode. I will hopefully have a modulated 6 amp driver very soon. So that will work well that way. And I have two other similar hosts that will have a battery capacity and amperage display with low voltage warning. They all have the an illuminated momentary and on off switch in the tail cap. I am having some OLED screens made that show temp, voltage, amps and power modulation that will be going into my next round of lasers.
So that should be pretty nice.
I'm impressed by the skill and knowledge of some of these guys and girls in the laser community. It seems like if you can think of it there's someone out there willing to help get it done done at a reasonable price. :gj:

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

Are you saying these drivers will be adjustable?
I love the little meters, I have some larger ones but small host mountable are great, nice innovation, that way we can see what he driver is doing...I love it.
:gj:

I wonder if you could have the host made with a threaded front, a trim ring could hide the threads or you could screw on a cover sleeve and have an attachable shelf for Cyl lenses to be user installed.

The cover sleeve could have a front cover plate with a threaded center hole to let the beam out and conceal lens flare or to fit one of podo'd 3x expanders, that way the Gball could be left on and a fantastic focusable and powerful beam would make it far superior to anything else being offered, other than multi thousand dollar units.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

Yeah I've been talking to Ehgamus about just that. I want to make make the 3 laser builds that will have the OLED screens dual diode with a combiner and corrective optics. Those lasers will be completely run by a microcontroller like an arduino. So the possibilities are endless. Ehgemus told me earlier today that there's a type of aluminum that is made to have the best possible heat sinking properties. So I'm looking into that. These ones are T6 aluminum which is good but that would be better.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

This is a prototype driver from X-Wossee. MODULATED!
About time someone is goin to have a proper quality high power driver with a simple means of modulation.
It's great how much power the new diodes are capable of, but if you want to do other things with your laser besides burning things, which is cool. But if your trying out different optics and setups it sucks that you only have a short period of time before even the best hosts start to get hot. So this is good. It's a necessity.

Did he ever stop making them? Have you tried to contact him?
