SOLD: "Ace V2" @ 2300mW+ | Long Runtime 18650 Setup | FREE Shipping to CAN&US

Hello fellow hobbyists,

Just finished some of my Ace builds, and I'm selling my most powerful one here on LPF.

This is the "Ace V2", which differentiates itself from previous Ace builds with the help of a high-powered boost driver vs. a linear driver (~80% vs. ~50% efficiency), enabling the use of a high-capacity 18650 battery, and certain minor improvements on thermal connectivity throughout the build.

A Brief Walkthrough of the Internals

Price:
$324.95 & comes with free charger + free holster + free Xpresspost/Expedited shipping to CAN/US

Payment Options:
I only accept Paypal, Payza, and Money Orders.

International Buyers Outside CAN/US:
You can pay with Paypal if you choose the default insured shipping option, 4-day Xpresspost for $60 (and if it's available to your country). Or you can opt for a cheaper non-insured shipping option like Small Packet Air for $15, however, realize that Small Packet Air will take 10-15 business days. Also please note that I will not be responsible if the package gets lost using non-insured shipping. That being said, I have not had a single package lost, so chances are highly unlikely.

Terms & Conditions:
By purchasing my products and/or services, the buyer fully agrees to my terms of service, which includes being fully responsible for the safe application and use of my products and/or services, putting safety first, and always wearing appropriate safety glasses while using my products. The buyer agrees to these terms by completing the sales process and/or using the products or services offered by me. Furthermore, the buyer agrees that they WILL NOT point my products at aircraft, vehicles or people! The buyer acknowledges it is illegal to do so and will take full responsibility for their actions.

Builder's Warranty & Return/Refund Policy:
All products are rigorously tested prior to shipping. However if a defect in workmanship or materials is found in a product that has been properly used and maintained as per instructions included with the product, returns will be accepted for workmanship defects under the 6 month limited warranty to be repaired; buyer will pay for shipping to me and I will pay return shipping. The limited warranty will cover the driver/wiring/clicky, but does not cover diodes. Returns will not be accepted where there is evidence of tampering or misuse (ie. removal of warranty stickers, heat damage). Refunds will not be accepted, however it is at my discretion to allow refunds where I deem reasonable.

Shipping
All default shipping options come with online tracking. International buyers outside of Canada & USA will have their default shipping option be Xpresspost ($60). If you wish to opt for a cheaper non-insured shipping method like Small Packet International Air ($15), you must contact me first before ordering. If the package gets lost using an insured shipping method (and tracking says it was not delivered), I will split the loss with you. Though, it is worth to note I have not had a single package lost or ceased, ever.

It's the SL-SS host Blutquell lol

and thanks :D

Still my favourite host.. so compact yet it feels so solid & heavy. You really have to feel it in your hands to fully appreciate it though.

EDIT:

Sorry, let me clarify: see picture #3 in this thread: on the top of the picture you'll see I use Arctic Silver Ceramique 2 compound.

What I meant in that post in Kizdawg's thread was Arctic Silver (as in Arctic's Silver Arctic Silver lol). The newest is Arctic Silver 5 I believe. That compound would be fine to be used on all the areas where I thermally connect from diode to host, just shouldn't be used heatsinking the IC and areas where it could cause a short. Tis what I meant but didn't explain properly sorry lol

Nice build...
Just a few observations...

1) For that power of Laser you are too close to your LaserBee Thermopile
The User Instruction state 6" to 12"

2) Are you building your electronics on a carpeted floor...

3) you need to keep your bare feet out of your pics....

hehe thanks Jerry :)

1) Most others also LPM their lasers at around the distance I do them too, no? But you always tell me this, not others >.< haha thanks anyway I'll keep that in mind. The thermophile doesn't damage as far as I can see, isn't the thermophile rated for 2500mW or higher?

2) Yes I am. But I also always strap on my antistatic wrist strap and I never wear socks.. just in case lol

3) :D They're pale as hell damn I need to tan this summer lol.

It has nothing to do with damaging the sensor.
It has to do with the fact that a High powered Laser will emit
heat radiation and could skew the Power readings when too
close to the Thermopile sensor.

BTW I tell everyone that I see doing the same thing....
You are NOT special....
