Hey guys!

I have a pair of red hene's here. Both come with power supplies. I also have a 40W fiber coupled diode (and like new glasses if needed). Prices and descriptions are below and I'm open to trades as always.

The first hene is a Melles Griot tube that I decanned so you can see the bare plasma. It's outputting 7mW. Dot is perfectly clean and TEM00. Comes with a 120v psu. I'm asking SOLD including shipping for it (CONUS. International people will have to inquire).

The second HeNe is a Uniphase and is a fair bit larger. It is rated for 10mW. I did not meter it but I'd say its no doubt 7mW+. The dot has a bit of artifacts because there seems to be a "slight" bit of buildup on the inside of the mirror. It doesn't harm the profile of dot though and the dot is perfect TEM00. It also features a shutter if you're into that sort of thing. It comes with a matching 115/230v psu. Asking SOLD including shipping (CONUS. Next up I have a 40W presstek diode (800nm). As you can see it's been sitting on my desk for a long time. Enough to accumulate a layer of dust. I don't use it as much as I thought I would. It comes with 6' of fiber optic cable , the diode and a coupler. Perfect for any CNC/Laser engraver projects! Asking $210 shipped. (CONUS. International please inquire) If you need a set of glasses for this laser. I could add a set of OD5+ for 50$.

Any specs on that diode? Voltage, current? Is the output from the fiber colimated?

Oh. I forgot to mention. The diode comes with an adaptor not just for the output of the diode. It also comes with an adaptor that will accept a standard threaded aixiz lens barrel. Output from the fiber is single mode TEM00.

As far as specifications go for the diode. I've never gotten clear specifications. These diodes are rare and there isn't a lot of info on them. I would say they are similar to the coherent FAP diodes but I don't really have any info to back that claim up. What I DO have is the datasheet that was given to me when I purchased it, but its really not much help since it's for a complete other model. My power meter only goes to 20W otherwise I'd map out a graph for you. I also don't have it. Its still with Mario.

^ No sorry. Unfortunately it would hurt my sale too much to break things up. Plus I don't mind holding onto the diode if nobody is interested in buying it. I'm more interested in a trade vs cash anyway. Would be easier to sell/trade this way since its not a common item.

Nothing in specific. I'd be interested in parts, complete lasers handheld/lab laser equipment ect. Not really looking for any 445, 405, 532 or red handhelds though. I'd be open to almost anything when it comes to trades.

What currents have you safely run it at?

The datasheet for the 17W version you supplied shows 23A for 17W. I'm assuming the 40W requires around 50A? Have you confirmed that it works at that (or a similarly high) current?

My lab power supply is rated for 7.5V @ 30A. I've safely gotten it to 30A @ 2.75V (It won't take more than 2.75V from my psu @ 30A). I'd estimate it @ about 15-20W at this power. It does set fire to anything from the raw output of the fiber prettymuch instantly. Obviously no meter means no accurate output.

I'm genuinely interested in the 40W diode.

I'm just, to be honest, a little hung up on the lack of data. I've bought a lot of unknown surplus laser stuff over the years, and sometimes it works out, often it doesn't.

I'm having difficulty understanding the price tag, but that's mostly because I've literally found almost no information about this diode. I've seen 40W diodes selling for more than $250, but I've also seen a lot of surplus diodes in that power range going for pennies on the dollar. I just can't figure out where your diode falls in that spectrum (lol). If you can help me out, please do.

Why is this a $250 diode? I'm not suggesting it isn't, or that you're asking too much. It's just tough to evaluate in a vacuum of information.

My price is based on what I paid for this diode. I'd simply just like to recoupe the amount I spent on it. As far as data goes, its something I've struggled with since the day of purchase. The power supply that I'm using to run this diode I also bought in the same transaction. I couldn't even tell you where these diodes come from but I can tell you that mine was designated for medical use until the deal fell through. Useless info I know, but it's about all I have.

If it would help the sale any. I'd be willing to do any testing within my capabilities for anyone interested.

Don't feel obligated to say if you don't want to, but can I ask who you purchased it from?

There's one fellow in particular, and I'm having trouble remembering his name, who sold a lot of surplus IR equipment. It was very hit and miss. It would be helpful to know if this came from him. Maybe someone else can help me out with his name.
