I built this little guy a couple weeks back. I must say it's a nice
little laser.

I have always had a thing for pens over bulky handhelds, and so
far this has been my favorite.

With the chrome leadlight pens, I liked the chrome finish, but
finger prints and scratches are a nuisance and they are still
full length.

These little guys fit nicely in that small pocket found on most
jeans. I think it was a pocket for a smokers lighter... go figure

You get about an hour to an hour and a half of use per charge.
On times vary depending on ambient temp with an average
of 1min on / 1-2 mins off for complete cool down.

The body is constructed from stainless and the internals brass.
This is a very solid feeling laser with good weight / mass. The
finish is heavy duty and scratch resistant. Dropping on cement
will probably leave a small mark, but heavy everyday use will not.

Total runtime on this laser is approx 10 min from testing, with
thousands of hours remaining.

Comes with 2year full warranty against defects.

Asking $225. shipped with tracking to Canada and the US.

Details:

-output is just over 400mW
-diameter 13.5mm (1/2in)
-length 100mm (3.9in)
-battery 10440 x1 (AAA size)
-lens aixiz glass
-driver boost
-focus adjustable
-switch SS tail clicky / momentary
-finish polished
-weight with battery 2.3oz

Its from DX, dont have the link on hand, but its got 'stainless steel'
in the title...

To use these you must have access to a lathe to get the aixiz module
down to the correct size.

The walls of the pen are thick, and the O.D is 13.5mm. I had to
cut almost half the material from the LD mount before I was
able to get it in the pen. Its an awkward build but a tight
fit when its finished.

I'd be selling them as flashlights if they did

The button is also stainless like the body. No rattling
and even the threads are nice and smooth when opening
the battery compartment.

If one of my lasers rattle, they never see shipment...If there
is one thing I hate, its cheapy looking and feeling lasers.

Re: 400mW Stainless 445nm Pen

Is that a micro boost driver or a homemade boost driver?

Not a microboost, but not 'homemade' either.

My boards are commercially produced, tested by me, and employed in
lasers ive sold for 2+yrs. That includes countless 405nm modules
that include the driver.

I haven't used a home etched in quite some time...

SOLD

I will have more of these ready in a few days. Should anybody else want one, now is the
time to inquire...

I can set the output a little higher while assembling, but it will reduce the duty cycle.
If interested, just shoot a PM, post here, or both.
