Time to buy some books for another class, so I have one of my lasers to sell! I am selling this laser for very little profit, but is a great deal for such an awesome laser.
The laser has probably been used for a period of less than 5 minutes; I enjoy the build more than anything.
The laser consists of:
Saik 305 host with MASSIVE heatsink (runs on 3x 14500’s)
X-Drive set at 1.65A
M140 diode (445nm)
Three element glass lens
Price: $150 (shipped if you live in the US. international shipping can be discussed)
Overall output is 1.63W (although I’m not providing it, when tested with a G-2 lens it measures just under 2W (1.975W)
With the size of the host and heatsink, there will be a very long duty cycle (running for several minutes it doesn’t really get warm
Although an X-drive doesn’t need much heatsinking, the driver is thermally adhered on the back of the diode heatsink, which threaded into the host; the whole host acts to dissipate heat.
