Actually I was just curious, and it would help others to know. This is just my opinion but those prices are a little bit low for quality stuff. There is a member selling his custom 445nm build which is putting out about 980mA and its a quality build. See here:

EDIT Sorry, missed the So Cal area requirement

I know the offering price is a bit on the low side, but doesn't everybody want a good deal? I am willing to wait as well. I don't mean to drag everyone elses price down. Sorry, but that's not my intentions. I just want a good deal. THANKS!!!

are you out of your mind?
200mW of green would cost you about $130!
you've not long joined the forum, do some reading...

stuart :)

Actually, eazzydeal.com have 200mW green pens from around $45, and it is "True Power". :D

Thanks TOKE! Being a NEWB, I really appreciate the help.
It doesn't say it can burn matches on the website. But if it can burn a match from a few feet away, not just inches. It must be 200mW. Does anyone have any experience with this eazzydeal.com green laser?

You're not going to get a true 200mW green laser for under $100.

Like with everything else, do your own homework before buying. Homework does not entail going "D'uh, this is what I want, and this is what I want to pay for it". Thats how you get ripped off.

Read more, post less is the most sound advice anyone can give you at this point.

I would be more comfortable if your laughter were slightly more subdued.
As I may have mentioned elsewhere, I have an order with that company for an "200mW" and "50mW" green, both "True Power".

I am quite confident that they will be not only green, but also quite interesting to take apart and tinker with/use for diy parts. :)

Your quoted price range is lower than the cost of all needed parts to build the laser... Unless by "willing to wait" you mean "in a few years when greens have become the price of reds" you won't be getting much of anything near those powers for that low of a price. Sorry to bring you the bad news man...

Also, welcome to LPF, read much, post little, use your search bar, respect your fellow forumites, and always observe the proper safety precautions when using any laser. :)

if you're thinking about Arctic, nobody can sell it for $175 because it's brand new and because brand new cost $299/$199 + shipping
200mW red: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11315
for this price, the best you can have is a higher-quality 50mW from o-like.com
