very nice and small build,i wonder what driver it uses as it takes 2x li-ion batteries so 8.4v fully charged and a drop with the load,so right on the edge and close on this high vf diode, buck or linear could run out of regulation very quick before the batteries get emtpy.
i had this problem with my 505nm build, diode was case positive so i found a linear continues positive but even at 220ma set the driver was running out of regulation when the batteries hit 3,9v.i fixed the problem by using 3 li-ion batteries in series

Yeah, that's the bad thing about putting these in pens. The size of the batteries is so small, they run down to where they can no longer run the driver any longer. I have built several of these case positive diodes with the Blitz Linear driver. But, all my own builds don't use a case positive diode. I got very early iterations that were case neutral.

I have used ax2002 from survival-I replaced the r2 resistor by 0.7ohm,Difficult here as you have said-the diode is a case similar to the IR diode-so I had to electrical insulation with a plastic layer

This diode is 505nm right? If i use a boost driver, it would be good 180mw.

That depends entirely on the current you drive it at and the lens choice you make. The 510nm ones were the iteration that DTR got as they were all above the 505nm claim. In order to get the most power with minimal artifacts you might want to try the acylic lens that comes with most modules. DTR's two element 520nm AR coated lenses work well too, but you will lose more power in the end.
