These heat-sinks came out if 19" rack-mount 9kW power supplies
that were staked in the mud ready to be shredded for there wheatmeal cases.
(There were Hundreds of them some still in plastic bags rapped in foam all crushed and staked in a pile.)

heat-sinks 1&2 and 3&4 are a mirror of each other
each heat-sink comes with a bag of there screws and 5 spacers (seen in picture 8

heat-sinks 1&2 have brass spacers and heat-sinks 3&4 have steal spacers

all holes on the heat-sinks are the same size and thread and all screws and spacers fit them.

I am looking to get $15 each but price may be negotiable depending on your shipping cost.

also if you want the large black heat-sink PM me.

So me my dad Trevor and my uncle went to the scrap yard yesterday and made out with some awesome parts.

First, the expression is making off. Making out is something totally different...

Second, the power supplies these sinks came out were pulls from a datacenter where they replaced all the PSU's in a batch. They just dumped the old PSU's back in the boxes the new ones came in and binned them. I pulled a whole one if someone happens to want it.

6 12V fans, a couple nice capacitors, four beefy heatsinks, a great housing... and more stuff I haven't looked at closer. :p

the cheapest I can find on shipping to Canada is to ship in Priority Mail® International Medium Flat Rate Box. But it still $27.95
I'll box 2 up and try to get to the post office to weigh then as soon as I can but I'm going camping this weekend so i may not be able to ship them until Monday.

If you can sacrifice the rest of the board, you can cut the inductor traces (inductor and all) out of the rest of the pcb. From there you can either use a big glob of solder and a solder gun to work each lead one at a time until its desoldered.

Or just cut and cut until the leads are free.. but that's time consuming.

I'll tell you what don't take them off just put the whole boards in a medium flat rate box and send them and I'll remove them ;) you can get up to 70 pounds in a box for like $10.95 and if it takes a large flat rate box that's only $14.95
Thanks

Hmm... letting someone else deal with the problem. Sounds like a plan to me!

@FP: I'm going to open up the PSU I pulled... I'll send you a pic when I do. :)
