Hey, great deal! I noticed there aren't any group buys for PHR going on, but this is pretty awesome

How much for 3x sleds in aixiz modules? You'll be shipping to Australia, so how much for that?

Oh noes, MATH!!!!!!

Uh, uh... okay... ummm....

Lets see, I want 3 thingies. And they are 18 each... so you divide by the integral and differentiate it... crap, I forgot to multiply by the pi! Uh... okay, so, I think those first two cancel out, so just $50 I think... with a bazillion decimal places from the pi...

Oh wait, got to add the modules and the harvesting! But... already calculated, uh... so, I add these in, so that's like $12. No wait, $3, since I need to divide by 3 since I need to counter that multiplied by 3 thing until I put it in the equation... wait, is 12 divided by 3, 3? Yeah, it must be, otherwise 20 divided by 5 equaling 5 would be wrong, which I know it isn't.

So... okay, we have $50 divided by 3... that's, right I think. Since multiplying and division are the same thing, just gotta inverse. And I'm pretty sure inversing means dividing by itself, but that means it just equals 1! So okay, uh, I have $50 multiplied by... 1. I think. Or is it 0.3? I think it is. That's about... $12.


So $12 That's an awesome deal! I'll totally take that!

What are the specs for these? Are they better / brighter than the diodes in the PS3, because I was thinking of getting those.

Also, if I were to use one of these in a RGB setup, how much mW would the green and red need to be?

PS3 = 20mW (if your lucky) 803T = 150mW and a decent life ;D

But these are 'broken'?

I'm still quite new to this, but if i get one in a aixiz module, i can use that to make a laser pointer or use it in an RGB scanner, right? I assume I would need some kind of controller PCB to get the most out of it, would I need anything else, like a heatsink? What does the aixiz module do? Finally, with the right electronics, i could dim this right?

the sled itself is whats broken. i inspect all the sleds when i get them to make sure the diodes arent broken. if you drive these at a high current they will need a heatsink. if you plan to run them for a while theyll need a hs as well. aixiz modules are just a mount to hold the diode and the lens and yes you could make it dimmable by adding some electronics but thats what the experiments and modifications section is for. im updating the payment list now. :

im only selling the sleds/diodes and aixiz modules. there are other members of the forum that can help you. dark-horse makes custom heatsinks and drlava and rkcstr have very good drivers that work for red and blu ray diodes. you can also build your own driver with the ddl circuit in the experiments and modifications section.
