Possible PHR-803T Source

Hey everyone, after i missed out on an awesome PHR-803T deal, ive been looking everywhere for that diode. trash, stores, ebay, and ive led up to china.
I have had contact with a representative of a Chinese company that produces these sleds, and requested details and pricing. To my surprise, she replied saying they didnt have any new ones, but they did have "bad" ones, which i assume mean broken.
That brought a smile to my face. The deal i missed out on was of broken PHR-803T sleds, which had perfectly fine diodes.
Im awaiting a reply to my asking about details and pricing of these, but im hoping i can get ahold of a bunch of em, and sell some off to you guys :]
Can anyone give me some tips and such with overseas deals?

Most over sea's suppliers rather use Western union rater then "Paypal"
dont forget there is a 12 hour difference from china to use, so please be patient with a response from them. if u do get a deal,count me in if its cheap than 27$ shipped

Try to order a few samples just to see if they are good enough, the last thing you would want happening is if you buy 50 of them in a semi-group buy and they are worthless for us.
If you can get them decently cheap I may be interested.

Thanks wes, i am aware of the western union thing, as well as the time zone difference

And styropyro, ive read a lot about china deals, and i do intend to ask for a sample or two first.
As far as quality testing, i may send one off to one of you people with a meter.
Im crossing my fingers and hoping theyre cheap and good quality

I'd like to test it for you. I've harvested and used hundreds of PHR803Ts, have a LPM-1 power meter, and all the necessary components (flexdriver and microdrivers, aixiz module) to make a nice laser.

I'd also like to buy as many as possible from you ;D

not quite 200, but soon i'll have gone through that many.

you may have made more blu ray lasers tho daguin, i've just harvested a lot and briefly tested them. then shipped them off to a happy customer.

question to Omega: did you find your source through alibaba?

a quick google search returned some top results from alibaba.com

i just checked, and her msn name is her email, which doesnt contain either of those names.
since youve been through this before, how do i factor in shipping and paypal into the final price?

the way i figured it was paypal takes about .11 cents per dollar. first class shipping is around 1.20$ to 1.85$ depending on weight so around1.50$ for shipping and then whatever your packing supplies cost. i bought mine really cheap off ebay(got 250 mailers, almost 200 ft of bubble wrap, and 6 rolls of packing tape for around 70 shipped). take the dollar amount(70$ for me) and divide it by how many mailers you got(250 for me) so shipping supplies per mailer will be around .28 cents for each package. handling costs should be considered if you have to drive to mail stuff(gas). usually around 3.00 for shipping is ok b/c u can ship internationally and domestically first class(or airmail) and leave up to the buyer if they want to upgrade. i think i covered all my bases here but if not you get a general idea of what to do.

remember to add up fees for shipping(to you. ems is usually faster and cheaper) western union fees, and cost of the sleds.

i dont think i have to worry much about packing supplies, my father has plenty of packing things from customers. so all i have to figure into the sled price is paypal, shipping to them, and shipping to me (and maybe a little profit

). if im adding it all right, it should come out to about what you sold yours for, if not a buck or two over

and ems is the best shipping method?

ugh. bit of a roadblock im hoping to get around.
i asked for two samples, and she told me ems shipping is cheapest and fastest. 23 bucks for a 3 day ship to the US.
she then said the total was X amount of dollars, which was the shipping plus the cost of two. and said she would send bank details if everything was okay.
i think she mistook my sample request as an order placement :/

you should buy the two. if it works out, then buy everything that you can. you will NOT lose money by buying cheap PHR803T sleds. I think it would be impossible, they sell very very fast, just ask ndrew
