Well let me know people, I've managed to get them down to $18USD, but as mentioned there is freight here and to the US and I'm not sending them anything less than tracked/insured. Also 2.4% paypal fee.....so technically I still think that just under $21

The units I'm getting are from the place that supply PSXBOY, boxed and wrapped in blue electrostatic plastic, Aztec barcode 803T on the side....

Thinking of grabbing 100 anyway as then I can sell them independantly through other channels for $30+ (not you fellas of course) and not feel guilty from poaching a source

i like to think im a pretty good person, i do what i can to help all that need it.

being a "gold seller" or whatever from alibaba, i dont really doubt that i would get scammed, but paying 23 bucks to ship 2 sleds, and then paying more shipping to get the rest if those are good. i own about 500 bucks to my name, with this situation i would probably only be able to order a small handful of sleds...

Omega, I started my business with just $200.....don't fret if you've got the determination and a good idea you can make it work for yourself. It becomes an awesome learning experience.

In fact I am in the last months of finishing a Pharmacy degree (returned to study after years as an industrial chemist to "secure my retirement") and now the 8 hour a week business that was designed to pay the mortgage and bills has now exploded into something I didn't expect :S

Aftermarket car LED illumination kits, there's a massive demand for modifying car interiors....lots of younger people in the market. The US is actually a large consumer, closely followed by Canada, here in Oz though it's massive.

In the last stages of sorting out contracts with Autobarn, Supercheap etc etc which will be huge for me.

LED illumination kits. You mean on the inside of the car or on the outside? Isn't lights say, underneath the car on to the road illegal?

No inside, for dash clusters...changing standard to say blue, Red, White etc etc

I'm leaning towards 666DAN's source because only $3.50 extra for a guaranteed good laser diode is worth it IMO. In ndrews GB/sale of the broken sleds didn't some people get some diodes with shattered windows?

I got a shattered window on mine....... :'(. Don't know if it was the broken part of the sled or if it was kicked around the post office room before it got to me. The last possibility seems the most likely because you should see some of my packages that I recieve from DX....... The rips, tears, and crumbling is beyond belief. Would be nice to get another cheap diode so I can finish my first Blu-Ray  .

im going to either wire the 20 bucks, or use my fathers FEDEX and get a hold of these!

this may not be over yet! and if and when i do order a bunch (talked to a friend, may lend me 200 bucks or so) ill make sure to check all sleds for damage, and bubble wrap the hell out of them. or, if people prefer, just take the diode w/ heatsink out, perhaps make a driver to test them all or something.

Today is the complete opposite of yesterday!

Hmm, seems as though Omega and Dan have different products to me. 3 dollars or so more for a new sled, or Omega for the cheaper sleds with a slight risk for broken diodes if a potential buyer doesn't mind the risk. I don't see why both of you can't do it (assuming someone doesn't mind being the US distributor for Dan. I think people will buy up whatever anybody gets their hands on, either way.

An update from me as well, I just bought 10 sleds as pre-shipment samples to scope out (would like to be 100% and compare them up close and personal with the PSXBOY ones). I should have them ~29th

Realistically you can have all 10 for $220 via standard registered mail as long as you don't mind me eye-balling one sled for 5mins, they'll all be brand new, untouched.

(can't do them for $210 in this instance as the postage cost isn't as efficient for the smaller weight) 50+ can be done at cost price of $21 per sled delivered to the US via express registered mail though.

Basically first in, first serve on these ones though
