"Plug and Play" CO2 laser 5-7W-$150

This is a RF-powered CO2 burning Laser-rated 5-7W, minus the 30V power-supply and 5v signal power-supply, (wall-wort).

I bought this in the GB from Heruusciences a while back.

I have never had a chance to get a power supply for mine, it is still as I received it, so I cannot verify it's output, but several members did get to play with these monsters. Since I cannot test-it, it is offered as-is, but the original-seller did say that each was tested. I have only removed it from the box to take these pictures.

Unfortunately, I need the funds, so I will offer the set-up at the great-price I paid for it, $150 shipped (USPS-insured), in the US. International customers can contact me for a shipping price to your location.

Looks great, how difficult is it to get hold of a PSU for these?

The power-supply for the RF-unit needs to be 30VDC@ 10A, IIRC. The specific power-supplies that other members used are in the link I posted in the OP. I think several members used a "Lambda 30VDC-10A" switching PSU to power theirs with great results and I think they paid less than $40 from Ebay.

To control the power-output, a simple 4-5VDC adapter, (wall-wort) seams to work, batteries may work too as this is only a "signal-power". If you want to adjust the power-output, you can add a simple PWM to the 5V supply to adjust from threashold to max-power.

So the unit is focused and everything, all you need is power and it will start burning stuff?

Not focused. You'd need a special lens that generally goes for $30-100. It'll still burn without the lens though - just not as well.

Does this unit need water cooling? How much is shipping to Canada? (Calgary, AB, T2T3M5 to be particular).

Also, as long as shipping isn't ridiculous, I'll buy it.

I have 2 of these working. Without a lens, they WILL start a fire. Be very careful. Know where it is pointed at all times.
With ZnSe lenses, the beam can be focused to a dot. Because the beam is at 10,600 nM you may be tempted to pass your hand in front -- DON'T DO IT !!!

Haha. I'd love to own one but I'm convinced my family would disown me if I opened up a package and pulled out a gas laser. They'd probably think I'm a terrorist or something, especially if I started roasting things with invisible light.

These are air-cooled units.
Shipping to Canada would be an extra $25, for a total of $175. Customs should be interesting, lol.
