Ongoing purchase for Sony 16X dvd diodes

Okay folks, we have passed right on by the ggroup buy stage, and have moved into a steady state.  I have a current stock of these diodes on hand, and more coming in that are ordered.  Now - the pricing remains the same SORT of.  since Google checkout has zero fees, and allows me to actually keep the minimal profit I am making off of these guys - that is the preferred method of payment.  Google Checkout accepts Credit cards, and debit cards that have the visa or mastercard logo on them.

Go here to purchse them using google checkout at $17.50 each : http://sales.stonetek.org Maximum order at this time is set at 100 pieces. (hey, I was actually ASKED that, okay??)

When you pay at Google - in order for me to actually get the money deposited into my account, I have to click the "shipped" button.  now, since I have these in stock, that means it will go out hte next available shipping day - at MOST, two days.

IF you desire to pay via pay-pal - (send funds to : stonergl@gmail.com ) The price is going to be a little bit more, since Pay-pal robs me with fees : the diodes will cost $18.00 if you pay via paypal from this point on, expecially since I am not ordering any more after the current order is received, sue to the reseller's price hikes.  I refuse to deal with him any longer - maybe by me withholding my sales from him, he will drop the price back down - as I do not see him selling that many at $30 per diode WHOLESALE

Sorry about the increase for pay-apl - any that have paid up to the point of this post are okay, you will get your diodes without an email from me asking for more funds :)  I appreciate all the support everyone has given up to this point with the past group buys, I had a blast ! so, without further ado, I will close down the GB # 3 thread, and point to this one for futher sales.  Thanks !

Greg

P.S.  The prices as stated above include shipping costs via USPS first class mail domestically - and USPS Airmail for international customers.  The world is FREE !  All shipping costs are paid for when you buy the diodes.  If you wish to upgrade the method of shipping, be aware that for the first 30 diodes, shipped to England or France, or anywhere else in the EU is $20 US extra - any other country could be more, please PM or email me for details.  For quantities over 30 diodes, the shipping goes up $5 per 30...please again, PM me for details if this is confusing :)

Don't forget to mention how people can pay you through paypal. I had to do a bit of searching before. ;)
I'll let you post it so it's a legit post if people are going to send money. :D

Uhm - pay-pal is outlined above...if you are referring to the "other issue" that I had with Pay-pal and the raffle - that only applied to the raffle ! I can conduct other business on there with no issues :) I THINK that is what you are referring to, right ?

Im thinking about buying 2 but im kind of new to this I've found a tutorial where the guy put the diode in a Aixiz module and then put it in the flash light with 2 AA's.

in that tutorial it was just the diode hooked up to two AA's each AA batery is 1.5V so two of them would be a total of 3V going into the LD would that burn out this sony 16X LD? Would i need to buy a circuit board to control the amount of power going into the diode?

If 3V will ruine the lase diode, can i use instead two 2500mah 1.2V batteries? two 1.2V batteries would be 2.4V going into the diode is that safe for the diode?

sorry if my question seems stupid but i tired looking in the forums on laserpointerforums.com and didnt see any posts about this :-[

its not so much the voltage (you still need to have a filter cap) but more so the current (ma) you need to make a very basic circuit which can be found in the experiments section it is just a simpal lm317 circuit you should have no problems and will cost you $7

Greg, I just placed an order for 3 more. One of the first group of three never lased. :(

I would recommend people order more than one of these at a time.

A quick link to the lm317 circuit would be helpful to "we" noobs in the forum. ;)

Here's a link that may be even more helpful in the future.

Would the diode be ok if i connected the diode straight to the maglite thats powered by two AA batteries and i use the laser in 10 second intervals? all that lm317 stuff doesnt look like it will fit inside the maglite so i dont really want to use it if i dont have to
