"ZY-C0 Turret" 750mW 445nm w/ Hydra Adapter

I love the look of this fellow, and chronicled the build here. For a small 16340 host, this guy packs a lot of density. The inner metal host walls must be almost 5mm thick. The frosting here however, is very clearly the beautiful "hydra" focus adapter made by friend of the forum, Flaminpyro. It's a wonderful touch!

It was built rather conservatively. Output LPMs at 750mW with a fully charged cell. I recommend using a good quality IMR cell to maximize the amount of current the driver can pull in. It uses a variation of the Ben Boost driver, without polarity protection (so make sure the cell goes in + forward).

Since 750mW is getting to be in the lower range as far as output goes these days, I'm asking $175 shipped. I think it's a remarkable laser for that asking price, but I'm still, as always, more than happy to entertain offers.

You MUST own laser protection goggles appropriate for this wavelength, and
You MUST be over 20 years of age, and
You MUST be familiar and experienced with the appropriate safety precautions to take with lasers of this power.
You MUST NOT be a resident of Canada

This is not a laser pointing device. At all times, protective laser safety glasses appropriate for this wavelength must be worn by the operator. This laser should not be used around 3rd parties (non-operators) pets, or for any recreational purpose.

FP's hydra focus adapter + rhd's build skills = pure awesomeness. :)

Good luck with your sale!

FP's hydra focus adapter

Are these really a creation by Jeff? I saw these adapters several times before on common flashlights.

This is an incredible good looking built. Should sell very quick!!

Lol, "no, I'm lying"...? Of course they are!

Now you have me curious though, what common flashlights have hydra focus knobs ?!? Link us?

Re: FS: "ZY-C0 Turret" 750mW 445nm with Hydra Adapter

I know that Jeff made these ;)

But I saw very similar adpaters some time ago on `company-flashlights´

What I was telling is that, IIRC, the idea of these "Hyrda" EZ adapters was existing before. Maybe they´ve stolen the design from Jeff.

Gonna update as soon as I find the products I was talking about.

DJNY: Man, Jeff won't be happy if that's the case! Although I'm sure that even then, the adapters wouldn't be threaded for lasers, so maybe he wouldn't mind. Still, it would be interesting to know if they exist out there in some shape/form, and if they really did copy them from Jeff!

btc5: Thanks!

Ryan: Thanks again!

There was some interest, but this guy hasn't sold yet. So I'm lowered the price from:

$175 shipped, to $150 shipped.

($25 decrease)

Sorry for butting in on a sales thread without any interest to buy, but just curious, any chance that host will take a 18350?

It's an incredibly clean looking all metal host... which I LOVE:D
