Re: Selling 5.05W NUBM07E build by AlienLaser SOLD!

Either way it can be a serious accident--dangerous is dangerous--either can cause permanent occular damage easily--1W or 5W

See: http://laserpointerforums.com/f53/hit-eye-1000mw-445nm-blue-laser-69469.html

Saying your would rather have an accident with a 1W than a 5W is like saying you would rather get run over and killed by car rather than a bus or truck, pretty much.

Well I say that it's like in a head one accident going 40mph vs 100mph.

Except it isn't, Encaps comparison is more accurate.

Here's another, it's like saying you'd rather be shot point blank with a 22 short rather than a 22LR.

Ahh, I'll take the short bullet, less energy transfer to my body. Can't the 5w burn the retina faster, if the beam crosses your eye than the 1w.

Sure, the short has lower energy, but the point is that you just wouldn't want shot with either - both can cause serious injuries...

Well yes, but both are going to do it so fast that there's little chance it makes a difference, the 5W might cause more damage, but both would still cause damage. Maybe if you were scanning them in a projector the 1W would end up being safe... But that's going to be under some rather specific circumstances.

Point being, both are very dangerous.

Weren't you selling something else a few days ago? Why not start a new thread? I am confused because the early replies are about a different laser and is confusing.

Just trying to save forum space and not clutter up the BST section with a bunch of separate threads.

I was confused for literally three minutes trying to figure out what the replies were about. Probably should make a new thread.

Re: Selling 450nm 1.7W Thor M II laser: $55 shipped.

Price drop to $55 shipped. Probably won't go lower, as this is already like $15 below the ebay price.
