Long story short, logistical issues have left an open spot on a mini 2-person GB I was tackling for two PGL-III-C 589nm 30mW units.

The gist of it, fast forwarding through the math (CNI price, fees, wire transfer, divide by two, plus shipping from me to you), is $750 USD as a final price for the unit to your doorstep.

It's just 2 of us in this GB, so the order will go in immediately (no waiting, other than for CNI to build them, ship them to me, and then me to ship yours out to you). I have the CNI invoice already, ready to be paid.

Just in case anyone was wondering, the reason me and RHD have two separate threads is because I was the person who had to back out of this mini-GB, because CNI will only accept wire transfers, which my mom doesn't approve of (because it's super-sketch).

And for the record - it's pretty smart / reasonable to be sketched out by a wire transfer ;)

No ill feelings. Wolfman and I both want high powered 589s, but the logistics and timing related to "parental consent" got in the way apparently. It happens. ;)

My girlfriend would be so mad at me if I did this...she'd probably throw me out...

I am deciding if it is worth it...

It definately was and still is!!! :undecided:

But for me, for now, I must say that I am sorry to inform you that I will not be jumping in on this mini GB. I truly want to, but I could not justify this amount of money being spent on one single laser.

At least not now, but I hope the future is as promising as my imagination says it is!

Nope, this thread still matters.

After much back and forth, including the drafting by Wolfman's parents of a formal written contract (no joke), my revision of said contract, a full disclosure by me of my address, university information, former employment details, and score on a major graduate studies standardized test (no joke), Wolfman's mother has demanded that in order to go forward with his participation in the groupbuy, we seek Paypal's extension of the normal 45 day recourse period, to 6 months (again, no joke).

So, needless to say, a very frustrated RHD is back in the "looking for a groupbuy partner" category.

Anyone interested in jumping in, who can actually come through without stringing me (and CNI by extension) along for 3 weeks, let me know.

Someone jump in on this, for rhd's sake - I feel bad that I have had him jump through all these hoops, for it to just end up with him reopening this thread. It's a great deal, and it won't come up that often. Someone grab it before it's gone!

EDIT: Goes to show what happens when an over-concerned mother can see your bank account....

I'm pretty sure if I spent that much on one laser my partner would kill me...

Lol, understood.

I hate to do this, because it's incredibly unprofessional, but I think I'll just cancel the invoice from CNI, and call it a day. That's a major faux-pas in my books, but I can't see any other solution (unless someone jumps in fairly quickly). It has already been a week or so.
