My mom's response last night: "Here is Ann's response. I agree with her. If you want to go forward, then do it. If it works out, great. If not, I guess it will be a very expensive lesson."

Why couldn't she just say that in the first place, damnit?

Enjoy your laser! I have a 1mw GLP 589 and other than a switch that likes to stick it's a sweet laser. Just be aware that it'll take some time. I think it took almost 6 weeks from placing the order for mne to arrive.

Thankfully, mine set up a checking account /w debit card and told me to do whatever I wanted... Thank god I'm fairly good at self-control :D.

No!

I put my huge pile of cash into it (lawn mowing and tech support are good jobs for a 15 year old!).

Well, not so huge...

My parents buy me what I need, and everything else I buy myself (lasers, iPod, music, etc).

i got a summer job and earned $3000
and my dad took $2000 for my RESP (savings fund for post secondary education)
so i guess its for a good cause...

The wire payment is in, we're looking at approximately 1 month for receipt of lasers. Plus, even though the lasers are coming to me, and then I'll send Wolfman his, I'm still going to hold off on beamshots and let Wolfman have the first crack at a thread here. (Aryntha made the same offer to me with the 556s, so I thought I'd "pay it forward")

So it may be a bit of time before beam shots arrive!
