Thanks for the HU...... I searched for some and found that little ribbed silver senior you built...Thats an absolute beauty mate nice find... and now I simply must have one (or two). LoL



Man this hobby eats some dough :scowl:

Dunno what I'm gonna make them into yet....Were there any tricky bits to this build that you could give me a tip or two about?

it's a very straight forward build.
Stick a driver inside the brass pill and feed the wires out the top to your diode.

When you screw the pill back into the head of the host, i normally have one finger holding the pill, and another finger holding the top of the heat sink (like a shape of a C clamp)
and then spin the head of the flashlight until everything is tightened down. This is to avoid having your heat sinking and diode spinning around and twisting up the wires

Alright. Added the last of the "just add diode" kits.
added 3x 1.6A, 1x 1.8A, and 2x 1.25A

This will probably be the last i offer. They are way too much work. It's the same amount of work of building an entire laser (minus the soldering of 2 wires) for 1/5th the price lol

I might do other packages in the future, as in include all the parts and people can just do all that work instead of me.

Hey Moh, got my TR-801 sinks and drivers today....grate job as usual. Perfect tolerances! I just found this thread...is there any of the $30 kits left? I think I want one.

Thanks again for the TR801's! Someday I will post a thread of all the builds I made with your custom sinks...

Hey Moh, couldn't resist buying one of those just add diode hosts! Looks like all but the 1.25A's were sold out though. I think 1.2A seems like a safer current anyway :)

Just purchased a driver kit and a heatsink. Off to find the Aurora C6 host!

I'm thinking about it

I've got about 5 new hosts on the way and about 4 or 5 in the basement to offer heat sinks for.

Maybe if I can get the time to stock up on heat sinks for each i'll reopen it just for the sake of having an organized listing of everything.

I've also got an adjustable version of the mohgasm coming. 0-2A adjustable by pot.
If it works out i'm going to offer it, and jsut the fixed output "kit" drivers
