I've never tried it, but you may be able to actually fit a green module (with it's own driver) into the dilda host...
And the module would of course take up some of the room inside the battery compartment. So it would run of off a single CR2 battery. Or possibly a 14500, depending on the length left over for the battery after the module modifications...
If you were to remove the final lens from the module, it even may be possible to set the module position so that it can be focused with a lens threaded into the head of the dilda. But you would probably have to cut the module brass barrel (or just remove the barrel and final lens), to be able to get the distance to the lens correct...
I'm not offering to do the work, because I don't sell complete lasers. But I'm just saying that I'm pretty sure it can be done without too much difficulty.
I have a host that fits a 12mm green module, with a focusing head. It takes an 18650. I had bought the host empty, and I had installed a 150mW green module in there (barrel/final lens removed. Focusing lens is inside the head of the host), but I did not like the focusable green set up at all...
The DPSS green beam is so thin, that any attempt to focus it, ended up with results that were less desirable than the optimum fixed focus point. Which was just to get the best visual dot at 50' to 70'. (IMO)
So I ended up taking the green module out of that host, and putting the barrel/final lens back onto the module, and I used it for my green Star Trek Phaser mod...
