Looking for a replacement red LD and fitting

First off I bought this as part of 2 laser set from Mohrenberg late last year

http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-brand-new-red-blu-ray-lasers-matching-set-44750.html

Anyhow it seems I screwed a new lense in too far to the module and screwed the red diode

As Mohrenberg is no longer around, I need someone who can remove the broken diode and replace it
with a new one and refit the module into the custom heatsink by tightening a really tiny grub screw :yh:
I would send the HS with the Aixiz secured by the grub screw, obviously some soldering will
be needed to connect the LD to the driver.

PM's would be appreciated or if anyone can point me in the right direction for getting this work done.

Some specs for people who may be interested in repairing it since i don't play with lasers anymore.

the module is case negative, with a rkcstr driver (most likely fixed adjustment)

the positive contact point is place on top of a spacer that sits at the end of the module secured with epoxy.

The epoxy can be easily removed by heating it up (touch it with your soldering iron and you can make it crumble away)

it's a very easy fix for anyone interested.

Looks easy enough but you will probably want to find someone in the UK to do it to save on shipping charges.

I'm in London, and I'm going to be placing an order of diodes, but I can't promise a very fast turnaround time - my soldering iron died recently, but I can do soldering at school nonetheless. Are you looking for a replacement red or violet diode to go in its place? I'll be ordering a largeish batch of diodes from China sometime soon so I could get a reasonable price on both.

Thanks all for your replies. Charlie, I am after a red replacement, I should explain how I came to to break the diode in the first place. I just finished building a Laserbee 1 Deluxe and wanted to test the power of my various lasers, when it came to this one i already had the 650-G-1 lense in it and it measured 313mw and was holding steady at that for a good 45 secs. I then tested with the standard acrylic and an Aixiz glass. It was when putting the 650-G-1 back that I screwed it in too far and it stopped lasing.

If you are able to replace it so that it performs near to what it did before, I would be very grateful.

I like to use a spring with the 650 G1 for this reason, as it gets too close you can feel the tension and back it off a little, the 650 G1 doesnt have to be screwed in as far as you would a 405 G1 to get the focus, for me its about halfway in the module for a pinpoint dot. your lucky you didnt scratch the lens...
I suppose it was an open can red?

Yes Dave it was.

And Charlie, Daguin has made an offer for the repair as well which I will probably go for just for the time factor.
