I've been busy today and made a few things on the lathe, the first thing is a (semi) removable external heatsink for temporarily increasing duty cycles. (it could be made permanent, but you would be better off with a different host)
It slips over the front of the pen like so...
(yes Tturbo, this is what yours is going to look like :shhh: )
It does hug the pen tightly, so no set screws are needed. However since it does hug it so close, it does scuff the paint a little bit.
The next thing is something I'm surprised nobody has made yet. It's a simple focus ring purpose made for the pen host. I've been making the stock aperture cover work as a focus ring for a while now, but it involves glue and is fairly hard to set just right. Since my last shipment of hosts came without the aperture cover :scowl: I decided I should just make some...
I think it works rather nicely, and yes, it is "painted" with a sharpie in these pictures.
The ones you shall be receiving will be sprayed with a matching coat of black paint.
I am asking for $25 shipped for the heatsink, and $15 for each focus adapter. You can get the pen host itself from jayrob for a really decent price :thanks:
