No actually the ac may be part of yours may not. I've got a limited supply of a few. Essentially I'm getting rid of some surplus parts (different boxes, and psu's) the functionality of the meters will not vary at all though. Not to worry, you'll still be getting your value in the meter I promise.

If you would like it inside the clear box, I can get one of the boxes from sightfx and assemble it inside if you would like. (although you'll have to buy the box from him.)

The boxes are these ones for about $8 + shipping.

Digi-Key - HM958-ND (Manufacturer - 1591BTCL)

I have extras because I originally ordered them for white fusing kits with LM317 x3 drivers but then FireMyLaser came out with his awesome driver and now we need the next size up for that build.

Ken supplied the AC adapter. The only addition I made to the electronics was a cut length of what used to be a USB cable. It replaced the 4 wires for the sensor allowing it to go remote.

I lathed the mounting screws flat so they would slot into the enclosure. I'm sure you could easily find button head screws to replace them all the same. The good thing about using the lath was that it marred up the threads enough that they locked in at whatever depth I needed them to be. You would want a stand off or lock tight to get the depth right so the sensor will hook tightly onto the enclosure box and stay.

If you do decide to use the digikey boxes could I get the meter I ordered rom you in a clear box?

you mentioned surplus (different boxes), if you still have various sizes when you get to mine, could you use the most compact. Not a big deal though, whatever you use, I'm still coming out ahead.

I recieved the the 3 Kenometer Lites today...
Thanks for the fast shipping.. They were very well
packed....

Since they were well packed I was wondering why I have
some issues with the lites... I've decided not to open any
of them before we spoke..

Ok these things happen, no big deal i was concerned for a while for obvious reasons.

However if there is a problem (i know these where quite limited) as i said in my email i would prefer what i payed for, however if this is not doable please let me know,(i should probably check these forums more often and i guess i wouldn,t have been overlooked if i was a bit more visible but since i have been out of work i find i have less time strangely enough).

Be careful extending the heads too far, the resistance of the cable will cause your meter to under-read at any kind of distance.

Heh, I've ran into a veritable nightmare. Still waiting on my financial aid to get moved into family housing on campus and I'm still living in a hotel waiting for that to arrive. Until then guys literally EVERYTHING I own (with the exception of this laptop) is in storage. I profusely APOLOGIZE. This move has been a total NIGHTMARE!!!

I WILL update this thread the second something changes.

Damn that sucks! Hotel fees can really add up. I hope you're in one of those cheap-of-the-cheap rooms or something.

No rush on mine. You can even send it out last.

Actually I've got 30 days worth of free hotel accomodations from a video surveillance system I installed here. Was negotiated as part of my fee so that I had a place to stay with no issues while I got everything settled. So, as far as cost is concerned, I'm not accrueing any cost until the 30th. If I havn't gotten my financial aid by that time, I'll be s.o.l.

I do appreciate everyones understanding as this was NOT forseen when I moved down here. Usually I get my financial aid about 5-6 days prior to the start of the semester and classes start tomorrow.
