I've got a new thermal head inbound and would like to know if anyone would be interested in purchasing a Kenometer.  As with all of my builds it has a digital interface as well as the means of logging with an additional DMM.  I will not be selling it for what I used to though.  These are rare and costly to get anymore.

Re: Kenometer?

I'm sure if you posted an estimate price people would jump on it.

Well, I'm figuring $300 with logging feature and $250 without.

this is a great deal. This is way more accurate than laser check as far as 405nm range goes, and size of the sensor lets you setup your rig easily.
If you are into building and selling/trading your builds with others, and don't have this meter or something better , this is your chance.! ;)

Please tell me about the Kenometer. I was just about to buy a commercial meter and wonder if I would be better served with a Kenometer. How does the data logging function work? In the pictures, one appears to have a harness in the front. What is it for? Is that the one for sale? What type of thermopile does it contain? My guess is that the software is Windoze only. Is that the case? Thanks, Bill

Hahaha that connector is just a free floating connector collected with all the junk on my workbench. does not in any way connect to the meter.

This is not in any way shape or form a small build. It's limited by the size of the components and the Sensor. Unlike the smaller than 1/2" sensor on the laserbee, this has a Coherent Thermalpile sensor that is almost 2" square. The psu inside is even larger and the board it connects to is the largest component of all at almost 6" Another dissadvantage of this over any other smaller unit, is that it's powered by 120/220v. So this isn't your average portable take anywhere Meter.

It's spoken for by laserbee at this point though I don't know for sure that the sensor I'm getting is good or not. As those that know of this particular sensor know, some of them were DOA. When I determine that the sensor is good, I'll finish the transaction to Laserbee. I am saddened greatly that I do not have any more to offer up to everyone else that is interested in this great meter.

Rangedunits. The BFG did indeed get sold. :(
