How do you buy from someone here? Do you paypal them and the sender mails you the laser, and is it arranged through PMs? What if it is broken or you dont get the laser-
Thanks

Well, most transactions are thru Paypal and they do have a dispute system if there are problems, though its not perfect. Mostly, since this is a community, you can evaluate a seller based on his/her reputation (the points and the concept) to determine their trustworthiness. There are quite a few good guys here... but, are you looking for user-built lasers, or commecial-built items sold by users?

For the process, I think most pay via Paypal (some Google Checkout) then the seller ships the item. It is possible to have another member act as "Escrow" where the buyer sends them the money and seller sends them the item and the "middle-man" verifies each end is fulfilled and completes the exchange.

Hmm... I'm surprised no one has replied. Yes Droyd, arrangements done mostly through PM's or posts. Whatever is agreed upon is what is to be delivered. Once both sides are happy, the seller will provide a payment method (paypal, google checkout, etc.) and within a week or so you will get what you paid for. As for defective merchandise; the seller should tell you before finalizing the deal what condition the goods are in. If you're not satisfied with your purchase you can try to work something out with the seller or file a complaint through paypal if that was the method used. Other than that I don't know what else to tell you. Welcome to the forums and good luck!

Well things can be a bit complicated. Buying and selling can be done through a couple different mediums. PayPal is an option yes. Many people use googlecheckout as well. Buying and selling can always be a bit iffy when you're on public internet forums.

It is advised that you be careful with whom you send money to. Make sure that the person you would potentially be buying something off here is a respected member, with a reputation of good service and that can be trustworthy.

And dont be scared off. There are many great people here. Just always be cautious of scams!!!
