oh, sorry Kyle. a PHR-803T is the blu ray diode you bought. Well, PHR803T is the name of the sled it came on, but around here we call the diode the PHR803T or PHR for short. And Lasersbee, like I said I understand why businesses have to charge 2x as much as members here do but I don't understand why we have to buy from them? Not trying to shoot anyone down, but in these economic times I can't throw away 10$ just to support someone elses business.

I agree with you 100%... I do the same thing... If I can find a bargain... then I'll go with that..
We are not forced to buy from any seller... it is our choice...
I've bought many large items that went on sale the next week... I felt ripped off... but I was the one
that decided to buy when I did... ( I should have done some research to see if a Sale was coming up)

But I don't believe that a business is necessarily Ripping someone off because they need to make a
profit to survive...
Granted the ones that are trying to rip people off with over-inflated prices... eventually go the way
of the Dodo bird.... ::)

The employees of certain car manufactures can buy a car at a price that you and I can't... that does
not mean we are getting ripped off by the car manufacturer...

Just my $0.02.... ;)

Ahh. Thanks for the info Treb. Out of curiosity, how much mA are you running on the laser in your sig that has 120mW output? / What driver is it ?

I was going to have a lava drive preset at 130 mA, would that be too much?
Sorry for the late reply-
I'm using a flexdrive to power it at either 120mA or 125mA- can't remember.
I actually just built another last night and i set it at 135mA and the power is only 106mW
BUT, the diode has a higher wavelength and is more visible/appears brighter than the more powerful one.
I guess what I'm trying to illustrate is that PHRs aren't very consistent. But 120mA is definently a reasonable current for them.
