Okay folks, I have 3 of these builds for sale. This is the new style dilda host. It is focusable and runs on 2 rechargeable CR2 batteries (included) Pick your power up to 185mW (you can choose powers higher up to 300mW but I will not replace the diode if/when it dies early)

This uses a stock acrylic Aixiz lens. Meaning it has nice beam/spot properties and low price. A 405-G-1 lens is ideal for powers over 200mW but not very cost effective for lasers under 200mW IMHO.

The driver is a Rkctsr driver.

Whats up Yob, If I understand this correctly you have a 6X @ 300mW after an acrylic lens or 405-G-1? If that's acrylic then that diode will die in <30 min.

Just wondering.

IMO it would have to be a H20L there is no way a SF-AW10 could last a decent time at 185mW let alone 300mW.

The power output of these is determined by the buyer. I will set it to whatever you would like. If you want to risk it at 300mW be my guest, in no way am I recommending you do so or implying that your laser will survive at that power. In fact I implied the exact opposite. These still use stock acrylic lenses. These are inexpensive lasers for those that want a burning violet but don't want to spend a lot of money. If you want a GGW with a 405-G-1 lens at 240mW you would need to spend much more than this price on parts alone.

So if I understood right this is a violet laser. Would 200mw still be safe, what is your recomandation?

I would go with 175mW. this will give you a nice strong laser and a good lifetime.

Just tested this out. I set an SF-AW diode at 310-320mW (power rose with time) the laser diode died at 15 minutes of constant on time. Perhaps with duty cycles the diode would not get this hot and it would last a little longer. 300mW is definitely not recommended though. I'm surprised it lasted that long. Kind of exciting to watch a diode die when you are doing it on purpose.

Sure, After modwerx gets more diodes in stock and after I receive payment from these lasers I will order the parts for some more since there seems to be interest in them.
