If I can find where I left one of my spares, I'll sell you a TI 89 for $70 shipped :p (man, I really got too much crap around here)

update: found

PS: As an ex calculator junkie, I gotta say the TI-89s are insanely, impressively powerful calculators, but so few owners seem to know how to use them effectively. Learn how to take full advantage of its CAS (something [computer? calculator?] algebra system) and you'll be unstoppable (because nothing impresses your friends and family more than 'mad skillz' with a calculator)

PPS: And for you Ken, if you're interested I'll ship it off now and you can pay when you got the spare cash... within reason! ;)

I carry a TI 30 SLR+ in my bag, that I use to add, subtract, occasionally multiply with, and almost never divide with. I have not used any of those other buttons on it since I was in college. I'm sure that it has a higher IQ than I do.

Peace,
dave

LOL. Excellent. You gots yourself a deal pseudo. Since I'm literally just starting on my long and arduous journey to a masters in mechanical engineering and a minor in Electrical engineering this calculator was the MINIMUM I could get and still have it do the things I needed. I would have preferred to get a TI-89 titanium but beggers can't be choosers. Go ahead and ship, and I'll get ya if/when this doggone thing sells or I can send ya a Kryton Groove as trade! LOL.

might be nice in communities that actually have flea markets. Sadly there are none here. I have to buy from egay and that's $80-$110

Montana doesn't have flea markets. They have auctions.

dave

Montana doesn't seem to have a lot of anything but wide open space, one manufacturer, and ME!

I take it you've either lived here or visited at one point and time.
