I find it sad that the measured and stable Firedragon is less than the crappy unknown Krypton.

Although I want the Krypton for the host only, I can't justify $300

Who said the Krypton is crappy? Is my favorite Green laser, the only bad is the fat beam, but you can correct it if you know about lasers.
