Up for sale is a nice introductory HeNe, it's a Melles Griot 05-LHP-214 with a Laser Drive PSU. It is plug-and-play style, and I have removed the housing so you can see the plamsa :D it's outputting around 0.6mW of 633nm photons :beer:

Asking $60+shipping (it's quite compact, shipping is no big deal), thanks!

Are you sure you don't want an international sale?
That's a pity, gas lasers are very hard to buy here and I'd like to have a small one.

I don't think many 633nm HeNe's are multiline due to specific HR coatings on the mirrors. Same with 543nm HeNe's I believe

most henes were never made that way period. alot of them were accidents due to manufacture issue, only a few henes were ever made as multilines. unlike Argon lasers, because of their very low output range, its hard to make a broadband one that has enough gain, thus still having a reasonable output, without hurting the other colors. :beer:

good luck on your sale! I would take it, but I already have two bare tube hene lasers.

My smartphone got robbed today and I'll have to stop buying lasers for some time. Sorry for getting your hopes up :(

you'll like it if you get it crazy :D, HeNe lasers are awesome, and pictures don't do them justice. and Melles Griots rarely come this cheap complete. this is a great laser for a good price.

I'm a tad surprised this hasn't sold yet, actually. I had thought a plug-and-play bare tube HeNe would sell pretty quickly at this price... considering this is only a few dollars away from the price I bought this for, as a HeNe head :thinking:

I am as well. Though, possibly it's because of the low output strength. A lot of people like the idea of the high power from diodes, and ease of use. Gas after all you have to learn how to deal with high voltages and, in terms of power get little reward. But this is the quintessential laser...a REAL laser if you will...and I think every true laser enthusiast should have one, no matter how powerful. they teach a lot about the way a laser works and many other important things. I'm sure your hene will find a happy home hwang.
