Hi guys,
Decided to head in another direction,
anyone interested in a heap of 532nm's :)
Im happy to work with someone with cost, shipping if they are genuinely interested in buying this setup, needs a new home.

Included:

Laser - LSR532H-1W (1.3W stable)
Laser driver - LSR-PS-N1
Power supply - RS-75-5 (+5V@12A)

Tested Output: ~1.3W@3min, once warm the lasers really stable, i'd estimate its had about 200hrs from knowledge of the previous owner. Heads from Lasever, although they source from CNI, driver has not been modified, its without a fan but doesnt get to warm on runs 5min or bellow. a 40x40 fan could be installed very easily with exisitng threads. Driver power supply is a MeanWell +5v@12A adjustable supply, great unit.

Unit is incredibley bright, Specs can be looked up on Lasevers site. Highly recommend to be saftey concious and use common sense operating this system, correctly rated glasses are a must.

Payment method: Paypal only (f&f if desired)
Located in Europe but will ship to the States, Australia using DHL standard international, never had an issue with them.

PM me about shipping or any questions if your interested,

Cheers and safe lasing!

That is an awesome deal. Is it turn key ready? Does it need anything that is not supplied? What are the beam specs? TEM00? M2? Beam divergence?

Could this be made into a handheld you think?

Ha ha, think outside the box and put it all in a ~3 inch ID tube and a pound of battery behind it. Although it would end up more like a space-age uber short barrelled shotgun than a little pointer, you could point with it. Maybe could squeeze it into a smaller diameter tube. Although 3 inches diameter really isn't that bad either, but consider the source because I like my pointers with huge lenses on the output for an expanded beam to reduce the divergence, so a 3 inch aluminium pipe would fit just right for me. You could just add on to the laser head as is, and have a rectangle shaped back end for the driver and batteries, everything squared up or rectangle shaped to keep it looking like it was made to be that way.

For what it is worth, a fairly messed up thread reviewing this model: https://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/showthread.php/10165-Review-Lasever-DPSS-532nm-1W-LSR532H

Edit: I found a link in the thread to a CNI branded unit for the specs, jnrpop can you confirm these are correct?

Looks great, even at 2 mRad of divergence the price is nice. This is a very tempting buy! All it would need is a 2X expander to get it down to under 1 mRad which would be outstanding. If you are going to use it as a pointer, who cares if the beam is 6 mm diameter. My CNI 4 watt MGL beam measures close to 5 mm diameter at 1.5 mRad, this would beat that with a slightly larger diameter beam. The difference between 1.5 and 1.0 mRad might seem numerically insignificant, but it is huge to me, far less beam spread.

Yeah, if you put it that way, then sure many lasers can be made into a hand held, of sorts.

I'm crazy though, most people don't like their pointers to be massive. I go too far!

Adding photo of my kitchen special-ugly, put together with electrical tape but the divergence was wonderful when the output of a NDG7475T 1.3 watt 520 nm laser diode was expanded to over 4 inches:

Just inserting this photo here to show you can make some cool beams at over 1 watt output, even if expanded that far. Don't want to derail the thread. This 1.3 watt CNI laser module could be used for something like this if you want a beam that goes and goes without spreading much.

Not a chance of derailing with that photo Alaskan, love the shape of those photons :)

beam specs: Alaskan's data sheet looks pretty spot on, its the same from Lasevers site, 3mm @ ~
2mrad

Pointer would have to house the driver, as its fully regulated v+I & temp with TEC and fan. But it would be one hell of a handheld, what's optotronics selling there +1400mW dilda for?? :)

Cheers!

I remember when we where ripping 100mw diodes out of new $250 CD burners, it's fair to say times have changed,
Although there was a lot of satisfaction in the early days, harvesting your own diode out of a working devise, and completing a build from absolute start to finish, breadboard driver and all ;)

Seems tech moving forward does that to us, I used to build my own transmitters for my ham radio hobby, now everyone buys them.
