in person you can notice the diffrence between the two lasers
dot at ~7meters, the x100 dot is a bit smaller
at apertue it has fat beam if you want to focus the dot (BURN) you can unscrew the head a bit

Hi Dr laser . you can adjust focus ,but not via unscrewing the head . you can do as below instructions to adjust focus

1. firstly take off the front cap

2. use small toothpick twist the holes beside the IR Filter

it's easier to focus by unscrewing the head
it would be better it that plate glued, it can moved easily in handling

Re: FS: O-like 250mW portable

dr. laser:
Using the "jayrob's" review divergence data (4.5 mm dia at 1' and 28 mm dia at 40') in the pseudonomen137 Divergence Tool, the divergence value at the review time was 1.9769 mRad.
Now, according to Susie focusing instructions and with some patience, it could be possible to reduce the divergence to a more reasonable value, 1 mRad maybe? In this case it would be no need to continuously manipulate (screw and unscrew) the head, I guess. Or I'm wrong?

Re: FS: O-like 250mW portable

Mmmm, I'm wrong, as I was forgetting the main problem, that is the beam dia.

Taking into account an output power average value of 300 mW, the area of a 4.5 mm dia beam is 15.89 sqmm, that means 18.88 mW/sqmm.

In case of a 1.5 mm dia beam with the same OP, the beam area is 1.766 sqmm, and this means about 170mW/sqmm......

Ok :-X, now it's clear the necessity to focus the beam for burning purposes...
