i have a new mxdl bluray with jayrobs heatsink and a 803 diode with a rkcstr adjustable driver. the beam is great if it wasent for my crappy camera i would show some pics, but i can see the beam in day light, im asking 125 shipped
It shouldn't matter how close you get to your meter (within reason) IF the beam is focused to cover the detector as much as possible, without spilling over the edges. You will still be able to get the most accurate measure possible from your meter, from several inches away. Unless you had the "dot" so unfocused that it was spread beyond the edges of the "thermopile," that is the most accurate reading you can get. Getting closer to the "thermopile" won't make it better or higher.
Sometimes with greens, yellow, & blues you can get a higher reading if you get close enough, but that is because of the leaking IR being added to the reading. There's no IR with these 405nm diodes.
