Okay...Up for sale is one Jayrob Micro chrome build kit with a GGW diode pressed in an aixiZ module with the sleeve pressed on the module for you:D
http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-micro-chrome-build-kit-flexdrive-hot-option-22692-4.html
I bought this kit to build, but it is too small for me, I dont have the experience or tools to complete the build, its not too complicated but I dont feel like messing with it anymore.
One thing should be mentioned, when I tried to build it, I shorted the battery and it heated the spring in the tail switch to the point of it breaking. Jayrob was nice enough to fix this for me, it is now working fine, same as when I first got it. I got the switch back in today, so im putting it all up for sale. This kit retails new for $45

I am offering the kit with a GGW diode in an axiz, with the module enlarging sleeve pressed on already. I can sell it seperatly if you want the kit w/o diode, let me know and I will remove the sleeve from my GGW module:D
I can also offer a flexdrive preset to 198mA if desired. Note i am not offering to reset the flexdrive.
Pricing is as follows:
Micro chrome build kit with GGW diode in aixiz modue w/ sleeve: $70( $40 for the diode/ $30 for the kit{$15 less than a new kit from jayrob})
Flexdrive set at 198mA: $25
Build kit with diode and flexdrive: $90(thats $5 off:D)
Ive tried to price this as fair as I can, but I dont want to loose to much $$$ off this.
Please keep in mind that the flexdrive and diode are NOT brand new!! They are in great working condition but have a very small amount of solder on the pins and connection pads of driver, note im only mentioning this so the buyer doesnt think I am trying to 'get one over' or am selling less than perfect merchandise.
If anyone thinks any of my prices are unreasonable, please post or PM me and I will consider an ajustmen(if it is fair)
Any questions, please dont hesitate to ask:D
Thank you all for your time
KDave

Edit: If anyone needs or wants a picture of the host/kit or flexdrive/diode, just let me know, I can email them to you, or post them in my album.
UPDATE!!! I am knocking $10 off the price of the GGW diode, so thats now $70 for everything except the flexdrive(add $20 if desired) Seriously this is a decent deal, if you want a micro chrome and a GGW. I belive jayrob is still backordered on these if im not mistaken, get it while you can:D

Re: FS: Micro chrome build kit with GGW in aixiz!

nobody is interested in this? If I can get the sleeve back off the module, would anyone want just the basic micro chrome kit w/o the diode? Still $30 for the kit w/o diode, thats $15 less than if you bought it from jayrob.... and if you get the kit w/ diode I will drop the diode to $40 bucks. The diode is in the module already for $40 bucks!!!!!:D:D:D Hell I'll throw in a dust cap as well!!
Paypal or money order accepted!!

I would say give it a little more time. Don't try to remove the sleeve just yet. Its a great kit from Jayrob, someone will surely show interest. I'm tempted.

Thanks:D It is a very nice looking host, I was looking foward to having it as a laser, but it was not to be. Id like to recover some money off it if possible.
I was thinking that maybee a very small amount of vaseline might help me remove the sleeve if need be.
If for some reason nobody wants this, I may just have it built for me, its just I dont want to put out any more money on something I dont need.

more money on something I dont need.

That statement is probably the best definition of the laser hobby that I have ever read.

(and probably many more hobbies)

Lol:D Yeah I hear you and it is so true! What I meant was that I already have several blu-ray lasers ranging from weak to very powerfull so another blu-ray outputting what I already have is "something I dont need" now a 12X is another story:D

Re: FS: Micro chrome build kit with GGW in aixiz!

I am fairly confident that I can get the sleeve off the module so, I will now offer this as a basic micro chrome kit for $30 and you can add the diode and/or flexdrive as an option if you desire:D Diode and flexdrive prices will remain the same( pretty cheap IMHO)
If you cant build it yourself some people here would be willing to do it for a small fee, so with my low price you could have money left over to pay a builder:D

Re: FS: Micro chrome build kit with GGW in aixiz!(new options and LOW price:D)

I have some one interested in just the micro chrome basic kit, however im having some minor set-backs removing the sleeve from the module, and am not confident to try and remove the diode..... So while im working on that, I figured id make on last offer on the kit w/diode and sleeve.....If anyone is interested the final price with shipping on the micro chrome kit with all the flashlight parts(including a Q-5 emitter) and a 6x GGW blu-ray diode in an aixiz module with the Sleeve/'heatsink' pressed onto the module is $65:D
Break it down however you like, thats practicaly a give away;)

If the sleeve is tight (which it should be for good heatsinking) honestly I think it would be quite a problem to remove. Its very thin from the pictures in Jayrob's thread & aluminium is very soft. WD-40 would likely be better if your still trying with vaseline.
....................... Shyt!!!!
~EDIT~
micro4.jpg

Custom sleeve glued to module with Arctic Silver thermal adhesive!
I doubt that will come off without damage. Better to wait for someone to buy the whole thing then destroy the sleeve. Your trying to slide off parallel surfaces which the adhesive is holding. The shear strength of the adhesive should be quite strong & aluminium is soft.
The diode itself can't be safely removed without the right tools.
Sorry I didn't realize that the sleeve came already on the aixiz, I thought you put it on yourself. Didn't read Jayrob's thread till now.

Re: FS: Micro chrome build kit with GGW in aixiz!(new options and LOW price:D)

No.... I DID put it on myself, and since it was a tight fit i decided NOT to use glue. So it is just PRESSEd on the module with a vise. I had the module already with my GGW diode pressed in. I have been trying very thin vaseline film, but may go to WD-40 as you suggested, I have it most of the way off, if I coat the module with WD, then slide it back on a little, im hoping it will coat the sleeve inside to allow it to slide off... hopefully!
AND this just in, I will now offer a FREE:D!! 10440 battery with this build, thats a $5 value!!!(not to sound like an infomercial:D)

If the price is right, then that would most likely be true. why may i ask?

Re: FS: Micro chrome build kit with GGW in aixiz!(new options and LOW price:D)

Just wondering. I was getting close to buying them both if he couldn't separate the GGW. Tho honestly I'm fond of making really tiny builds with a 10280 or 10180 battery.
