Hmm, i think i need a couple.. These cost $43 here... :(

How do you store them btw? And how do you package them for shipping?
I'm always so worried about canless diodes.. Wouldn't want the die to touch anything or gather particles.. :-/

I think i need like 3-4, but i need to ask first.

i got one from him before.he brought it out of the heat sink then put it back in partially and then put the whole thing inside a plastic mint cantanor (it was easy enough to get it back out of the heat sink).

Cool! I was thinking it would be good to have it in the heatsink. But i didn't know the heatsink comes off.. At least in the drive i opened it didn't..

In that case i guess they would be safe.

I warp it in aluminum foil loosely and place it in a small strong plastic box. I have yet had any problem shipping it this way. ;) Another option is installed in the module.

I try to keep a few spare.

If you wrap it in a way, that the die can't touch the aluminum, i'll be happy. :)

I think i'll just order 4 then..

Haha!  ;D

Anyway, after reading and seeing how you package them, i'm now comforted and feel confident they'll make it.. The tiny plactic boxes are a nice touch! ;)

Thanks! Looking forward to receiving them!

P.S. I just don't understand, how you can make this worth it for you.. Are you somehow getting them at $10? ;)
Just kidding.. It's none of my business. It's a good price compared to what i would have to pay here. I can almost get two for one!

so is this a one time deal.

TheMonk has been selling long open can diodes for awhile. This is just the first time (that I know of) that he has posted a FS: thread like this.

Peace,
