I bought a brand new LaserGlow Aries-35 a couple of months ago through a special deal with the owner.  It was a purchase of several items as you'll see I have the Galileo for sale in a different thread.  Anyway, this laser is actually working more like an Aries 20.  It runs off of 2 C size batteries and with standard Duracells it peaks at about 67mW's but will quickly drop to the 40's and then stay around 25mW's for at least 3 or 4 minutes (that is all I have checked).  I have only used this laser to check its power so it has only been powered "on" for maybe 5  minutes max.  I think because it is slightly unstable, LaserGlow did not want to sell it through their retail site.  I just happen to have too many lasers at the moment and need some cash for other purchases.  Attached are some pictures I just took.  It includes everything in the picture...aluminum case, keys, safety tail cap lock and the 2 batteries in it :)  Here is a link to LaserGlow for more info  http://www.laserglow.com/index.php?aries  I'll take $135.00 $125.00 plus shipping which should not be more then $15.00 USPS Priority mail.  Let me know. SOLD to the very lucky DocX! Enjoy this fine laser...

Re: FS:  LaserGlow Aries-35 Brand New with case!

ya know I'd possibly be interested in this.  I could take the aries 150mw I've got and put that in this barrel, (since the one I've got is incomplete) and then the 30mw in the old one.......  Has to think on it.

needless to say, it's possible to tweak this to get more output.  I spent about 3 hours improving the one I've got from 15mw to 150mw.  Something you may want to consider.  I'd be willing to look at it for FREE. it's stability is one thing that obviously provides me with a bit of concern about it's setup. Shouldn't be that instable.

Maybe I shouldn't say unstable. The sealed package it came in actually listed it as an Aries-40 with a peak output of 71.1 and a tested avg of 67.6mW's. It does peak that high but then it slowly drops to a steady 25+- mW's. The heatsink head is on tight so I don't believe it has been tinkered with, in fact I can't get it off so I didn't try any further. It is likely that if you could break the seal on the head and reposition the module it could change its power rating dramatically. I have another one that was sold as an Aries-50 and it is putting out close to 200mW's after tweaking the module. However, this is a new model with all the engraving on the body so I thought I would sell it for someone else to operate on it :)

Re: FS:  LaserGlow Aries-35 Brand New with case!

I just tested it again with my LaserBee I. It peaked at 69mW's then slowly dropped to 59mW's and stayed there for about a minute. Then it slowly dropped to about 31mW's steady till I turned it off (about 2 minutes). It did begin to climb back up so it is possible that if left on to warm up it could rise back to the 50mW range...just a guess. Also the C batteries I have in there are both reading 1.54volts. So they are getting low and I don't have any new C's to test it with. It is possible with fresh C batteries the results would be much higher. Also I should mention, there is no delay when you press the on/off button. The beam fires out immediately, this could also be the reason it could not be sold as retail.

Price lowered to $125.00 plus shipping :) Hey the host plus the case is worth this much...also, you could possibly mod this for more power. Drop in a more powerful c-mount diode and who knows what could happen

Meh power bill....light up your house with all the cool lasers ;D Just think...you could drop your 150mW module straight into this perfect host  Or you could put some magic voodoo on this laser and turn this Aries into a 250mW beast :-X

Re: FS:  LaserGlow Aries-35 Brand New with case!

Ok...last chance at this once in a lifetime offer!!! Here's the deal...If someone buys it they can tell their life partner it is "1,000,000" GigaWatts and literally slices humans in half while cauterizing the flesh to prevent blood from going everywhere ;D Then they can call me and I'll act all scientific doctor like and vouch for the story...hey remember...everythings alright "As long as you have a voucher" :-X
However, if it doesn't sell soon. I will put on my surgical latex gloves (please don't ask why I have these) and personally perform a lobotomy on it to see if the power can be increased. Who knows it could really be an Aries-400 :D I'll be sure to take pictures of the gory operation and post them for all curious bystanders to gawk at! Then when it becomes a 400mW monster the price will increase to "1 million dollars"! Or maybe just $130.00 plus shipping. But why take the chance...if you send paypal now, this little beauty can be yours for the low low price of $125.00 plus shipping. And if you call in the next 10 minutes, because I can't continue this great offer forever, I'll throw in a free super powerful < 5mW's ruby red laser pointer...WOW! What are you waiting for?????? Call 1-800-959-4054 Now... What are you waiting for???

Really tempted by this ...

How much would shipping be to the UK ?

Only problem is, I need to get an LPM to measure / tweak the outputs of my growing laser collection ;)

Decisions, decisions ... DAMN YOU LPF ;D ;D ;D

USPS priority International to the UK is $28.26 with a 6 - 10 day arrival time. Express International USPS with a 5 day or less is about $34.00.

Re: FS:  LaserGlow Aries-35 Brand New with case! S

Thanks DocX for being patient while the moronic USPS ships your laser to the UK via Australia   Are there any shipping companies worth a damn?  Fedex delivered our box of coffee yesterday to a stranger, fortunately the stranger called Fedex to pick it back up.  I was also suppose to get another package today from Fedex and the tracking system says incorrect address.  I called and the address is correct...wtf???  Oh...they managed to re-deliver the coffee tonight.  UPS delivered a book from Amazon.com the other day, but decided to leave at the side door that enters the garage versus walking to the front door.  Needless to say it stormed and the book was ruined   I'm pissed and the next delivery guy is going to accidentally get attacked by my 10lb Papillon killer dog ;D
He is waiting for you Mr. Delivery Man!!! :-X
