Re: FS: Jibs Linear Drivers - 500mA, 1.3-1.6A, 1.8A

500ma drivers recieved good and well and quick as always will try to make a 405 laser this weekend:beer:

Would rep you. But i cant...lol

well continuous ground or not, its still a good driver. I'd say any boost driver that can deliver over 1.5A and under $20 is a sure winner.

Excellent ... let us know how it goes.

Thats what I figured ... the only thing that would make good use of it is a 445 anyways (and maybe Cree XML-T6 LEDs).

EXACTLY!! aside from lasers I have a good time building ssc p7's and XML T and U bins. If you make your driver the standard 17mm diamter, then to hell with cheap chinese crap, all my 800-1000 lumen lights will be powered with jib drives.

Hey jib, would it work if I tried to run a lpc off of 3 cells using your 444mA driver?

Yeah but he told me it would work for 405s and 445s. I have been using 3 cells and it works fine.

Re: FS: Jibs Linear Drivers - 500mA, 1.3-1.6A, 1.8A

^ what he said...but that being said...it makes much more sense to solder a wire connecting the two contacts in one of the AAA bays so you only use 2 cells. I used to do that alot when i was using 10440 batteries. 3 of those guys is massive overkill for most drivers.

Ay steve. Thanks. I actually got "it" to work. The problem was a faulty tailcap. But I switched it and it worked perfectly. You gotta come see it soon.

It may work but you will be dropping 8.9V as heat! I dont think you can get enough heatsinking on that to work for very long.

Alright I will probably do what steve said.

Thanks!

Are you planning to keep the 444mA an 501mA in stock for long?

I will probably keep the 501mA in stock but once Im out of resistors for 444 thats it.

or you can get the resistors and solder them..
