I have a jet lasers pl-d 250 or sale.

I got it from Len in the jet lasers group buy #6.

It has less than a half hour of run time on it, still in perfect condition.

Len said it metered at 325mw (peak) , I do not have an LPM anymore so I cannot confirm this sorry.

I'll post pics later today when I can, but if anyone is interested just reply or PM me. Asking price is $200 obo

EDIT update- in error I replied thinking that Jake had a PL-C when he has a PL-D............

Thats one sweet deal- the PL-C was $325 in GB #1. PLUS shipping and PP fees.
I will be selling one(PL-C) soon but I would let it go for less than $260.

BTW its still under the 1yr warranty.
And I can vouch for Jake.

No keys to need or lose.
There is a pin in the tailcap.
To start the laser in the low power just enter the code correctly.
Once 'on' you can make it strobe with thwewhite button(4Hz) press the blue once for Med and again for High. Hold down the blue and it will go to standby. No need to re-enter the code. Thus it is a six mode laser-no cat-toy. You should turn it off by using the orange tailcap buttom. To store even more safely remove the tailcap pin , the battery or both.

Built like a tank- shock and water resistant(not proof tho) Unlike the PL-C it has no shutter and is prefocused.
It has reverse polarity protection.
The buyer gets one free 18650 from me for cost to ship.

BTW

About overspec lasers...
Good companies like JETLASER and AixiZ sell thier lasers overespec because they know that most all lasers ,after use, do have a lower mW than when they are new.

Fact of life.

By doing it this way you are assured that a 250 mW will always be a 250mW. Others may measure the output to be 325mW and sell it as such.
The better companies sell it as a 250mW (or more) for its life- NOT greatly overspec for life.

From the many JETL 532nm 250mWs I have seen those as the highest proportionally overspec when new and none ever stopped outputting spec or above.

Some arrived new at 300mW and ONE made 440mW when new-its unrealistic to except all 250s to make 440mWs.

An overspec laser that eventually becomes 'just' spec is not a defective laser and it is not reasonable to expect it to be greatly overspec for life. This is sometimes known as the end of life output. Just read all at the AixiZ listings in description. That is what you will read there. No one can promise that a SS laser will never drop in power- that is just not how it works.

So when brand new Jake's 250 was outputting 325mW.(Kenometer Lite) If you find that now it makes 300mWs that does not mean there is something wrong, its that you do not fully understand how diode and DPSS lasers work.

Hope this has been helpful and dont let this stop you from buying this 532nm 250 mW Pro laser.

I can include 2 18650s and a charger that Len was so gracious and included with it. I also work at fed ex and get 75% discount so if anyone wanted it shipped fed ex it would be very cheap for you.

Considering the high quality of the laser in question (this is no 300mW firedragon) the two batteries, and cheap shipping... this is a good deal.

If it wasn't so huge I'd grab it myself... but can't afford to have another laser just sit in my desk drawer.

Gah, shame Christmas has left me broke :(

I'll second that. I'd love to add this to my collection, but with Christmas expenses and car repairs, I'm not sure I could do it.

Then of course there is that entire "smart switch" thing. I'm pretty sure that would annoy me pretty quickly. :p

True Dat^^^

BUT since the purpose it to make it harmless in the hands of the wrong person, if it were too easy that would also be a problem.

At SELEM I let all who wanted (Daguin, Pontiag5, aryntha, Qumefox et al) try out the Smart Switch. They had mixed reactions.. most got the hang of it w/o much practice , one (IIRC Rocket) got it right away and could do it almost every time.

I have done it with 7 out of 7 tries once. But it still sometimes it takes me more than one try.
In fact JETLASER has now modified the code to make it even easier to enter in the new model.
However, I doubt that one could send this PL-D back for modification for free, unless it stopped working completely.

Gray tells me that the LEDs that stay on in 'standby' do not draw very much from the battery. In standby it comes back on wih one press every time. So its not like you will have to enter the code correctly when in the rest cycle. Whomever buys this can rest assured that all the support needed to learn the proper code will be provided by JETL Gray and /or me. Its a little more complicated than simply pressing 3-1-1. Why, I have no clue, but it seems to be in the timing of the entering. It seems that too fast or slow will not work. You just need to get the feel for it. JETL has a vid on YOUTube showing how to do it. And I have a thread here as well. It was only annoying at first.
I actually like the fact that if it ever gets stolen the thief will not get to enjoy it.;)..at least until they do thier homework.---lol

Thanks for the great explanation / confirmation on how the switch works. The tech geek side of me thinks the switch is cool as all get out, but the practical side knows how easy it is to frustrate me. :D

Still thinking...

'Know ones self'
they say...

TBH I was about to send my first PL- D back. We may both have a frustration level the same.

My problem ATM was a poorly worded explaination, and once I knew what JETL was trying to tell me it became much easier- They did a major improvement/edit to the instructions and used a lot of my corrections.
More often than not I now get it the first try.... except when I am trying to show someone how easy it is....ha ha

Well I finally broke down and sent Jake a pm yesterday about this. I'm interested but can't do anything until pay day which is anywhere between the 23 and the 26 because of the Christmas holidays. I haven't heard back yet though.

Here's pics as promised. Laser is in flawless condition not a single scratch on the host.

And the smart switch is hard for about 20 minutes, then it becomes easy as can be.

Its still available as far as I know. I told Jake that I'd take it after payday (Friday or Monday) if it was still available. I did not ask him to hold it for me.

It's still available. I've had 3 offers of $160 but it's well worth $200 so I'm gonna wait it out for $200 plus shipping. I still need to get you a shipping quote jcranmer
