It's still available. I've had 3 offers of $160 but it's well worth $200 so I'm gonna wait it out for $200 plus shipping. I still need to get you a shipping quote jcranmer

Just let me now what you find out. USPS priority is good too. You are so close to me that I doubt that it would take more the a couple of business days to get to me either way. :)

Jake I sent you another PM. I'd still like this if it's not spoken for. I'm replying here in case you don't get notification of new PMs. Money in hand (actually in bank) and PayPal ready.

Actually I'm sure you are busy with the holiday like I should be too. :)

Good question and one I'd like to know as well. If I don't hear back from Jake soon I may have to retract my offer. :(

well whatever...
I can say that if you mention '250mW laser handheld' or maybe even just 'laser' in the PooPal 'notes to seller' you may have a problem. At least for USA based sellers, AFAIK. They have began sending out notificatioins to many about sales of over 5mW handhelds using PooPal.
AND since Jake works for a shipping Co and is willing to get you his employee discount,,, duh...

The problem shipping international becomes more complex due to each countries' rules and also the duty/VAT/brokereage fees ETC ETC-
I certainly do not reccomend shipping and handheld with the batteries to international buyers... you have no idea what would happen if customes opens your box- inserts the battery and..... whatever happens next.

to save a little by shipping $5 Batteries along with the laser is not worth the risk at all.

Also if the sender claims a low value to help the receiver avoid any customs fees and then also insured it for 500$ well I think you can see the contradiction there.

In any event--- any laser I send international is with the sender NOT responsible for any delays or fees.. that is pretty much SOP for many. More expensive ways to ship , IMO are more for the safe unopened delivery and less about how quick it arrives.

Huh? Sorry now I'm confused. :)

Btw: for anyone else reading this later:

I meant no disrespect to Jake when I mentioned retracting my offer. I want this laser, and i trust Jake, but I have no idea of its status at the moment. It's just hard to buy something when the owner hasnt responded. I'm sure he has a very good reason why he hasn't been around and I hope it's not something serious.

Sorry guys. Will respond to pm's in the morning, but I found out Christmas eve that this laser isn't working correctly anymore. Long story short is I fired it up for the first time at Christmas eve to show the family, and the divergence is about 900 mRad. It worked perfectly before that, and I never had a problem with it until then. It hadn't been used for around 1 month prior to that. The lens isn't dirty so I'll respond to all pm's in the morning but hakzaw, you will have a pm as well about how to return this thing

Eek, sounds like your collimating lens has gone out of place and left you with raw crystal output.

Lets hope everything goes smoothly in the return process :)

This laser is epic, and so is the pricetag. I would have definately picked it up if I had the cash :D

I hope i don't sound nasty when i say this, but it's probably better it got found out it's messed up before anyone bought it.
At-least this way people (you included) won't need to spend extra money shipping it back and forth to the buyer/JET till it's sorted.
Good luck getting it fixed!

Jake will have no problems getting a full refund and unlike a lot of China based outfits JETLASERS always refunds any cost to ship back.

One of the things I was not thrilled about in re the PL-D was the fixed focus. Both Gray and I are sorry that this laser needed to be returned.
Very few issues have come up in 6 Group Buys.
