I got jiggy with my soldering iron yesterday.
I built three new lasers: an 80mW Blu-ray, a 265mW open can, and a 200mW Senkat.

That means that I really have no use for my second Dildalaser, so I am offering it for sale. It has less than 5 minutes on it. It holds 195-205mW steady. It runs cool for the lengths I've run it (90 seconds). I will include a couple of primary CR2's so you can play with it while you are waiting for your batteries to be delivered. The price is $55.00 shipped priority in the US. If you were thinking about ordering one, but didn't want the wait and hassle of ordering from DX, this one is "in stock", will arrive at your door in 2-5 days, has a well attached focus ring, and is tested at 200mW.

Here it is:

Any scratches, grazes or anything on the housing? I'm very finicky about stuff like that.

Uh, lol? http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11315  You didn't have to wait for someone to sell it, you could just buy your own for the same price here...

Anyway, the modded pulsar you got is probably the same power (I doubt the DX gives out exactly 200mW), looks WAY better, will be more reliable and takes a much simpler type of battery :) So don't go thinking you didn't get a good deal ;)

Yer gonna LOVE that modded Pulsar, Freshert....NOT that I am biased towards it or anything....hehehehehe Just make DAMNED sure you do NOT use Lithiums in it ! Although I modified the entire thing-essentially gutted it- I did only put a tiny bit of circuitry in there, but definitely not enough to handle the extra stuffs from Lithiums :(

It is like the face of a new born baby. Your father would be proud to give this to you to commemorate your Bris. When I take it out of the drawer, the angels weep at its beauty. ;D ;D

It is unblemished. The only difference between this one and a new one is that I removed that silly wrist strap. I can even send that along if you like.

We had a meeting. We wanted to see how much frustration you could handle. ;)

So what is it you doubt, my meter, my picture, or my integrity?

But, the meter in your picture shows it at 180mW? I can still very clearly see the 200mW line, so the needle isn't falling on it. But I guess that's a matter of visual perspective, because that's a meter model :) And depending on what angle you read it from, you can see it at slightly different values.

Like, for example, the wife in the car example :) When you're driving along, your wife may tell you to slow down because you're going too fast. But then you say you're on the limit. What's actually happening is because you're looking at the speedometer straight on, you can see the needle right on the money, but because she is looking at it from an angle, she sees the speed as higher than it actually is :)

You're right. It was falling at about 195 (within the reported operating range. I didn't even report the peak because it was too short.) and taken from above and probably a little right.

The meter measures the output. You could doubt that it is accurate or that it was set up correctly.

The picture records the meter's measurement. You could doubt that it is unaltered.

I reported the meter's measurement to the group. You could doubt my integrity or competence.

However, the laser just sits there shining light. There is nothing to doubt except its existence or that it lases.

Do you doubt that it exists or that it lases? Oh wait. That would go back to doubting my integrity again, wouldn't it.

Do you doubt that the meter was set up correctly. Oh wait. That would go back to doubting my integrity or competence again, wouldn't it.

Do you doubt that the picture was unaltered? Oh wait. that would go back to doubting my integrity again, wouldn't it.

Instead of trying to explain why you are justified in questioning my veracity in reporting the output of the laser, you should just apologize.

In any event -- the laser is SOLD

Oh wait, I see. I think you've misinterpreted me.

I gave a link to the DX200 and then said it probably doesn't give out 200mW. I wasn't talking about YOUR laser, I was talking about a general DX200 you might buy straight from DX :) I was just trying to reassure freshert that he had indeed bought the correct laser.

Your laser is definitely 200mW as you've measured it.

So please, don't get me wrong here. I don't want to have arguments everywhere I go :'( I meant no disrespect, and I apologize if I wasn't clear with my post.
