name says it all folks. This is a Kryton Groove plain (non-anodized) that has had a simple modification done to it to allow for a c-mount to be mounted into the head. This is the one I've used for proof of concept for the design. Shipped instantly $5 anywhere.

I will provide help to the person that buys this to help build it.

Yeah it would. There's really nothing to prevent a susie module from going in this as the only modification was done to the head and not where the module fits... However, this appears to be sold pending funds.. I'll keep you appraised doc..

For arguments sake lets say you made more of these ;)

This barrel is pretty sweet, what kind of diode could survive in this? Would a 5W diode at 808nm be out of the question?

The power of the diode is limited by what current your batteries could provide, I don't think CR123's would provide 5A

Looking at billg's portable infra-red laser, he achieves this by using 2 drivers in parallel to get the right current from a single 18650 battery -- although 2 drivers might not fit in a kryton head.

Not 5A, those drivers are 1A ea, making 2A

Hey dark what exactly are c-mounts, I see all these crazy diodes but they're c-mounts and then almost nothing accepts them
